God, I love this song, and Lauren did it so much justice. It's a very interesting song, and I think she acts it brilliantly too!

Stunning. Absolutely stunning. Lauren is a natural interpreter of Sondheim; I realised this weeks ago when she sang 'I'll Never Fall In Love Again'. It just made me think of Sally and Phyllis from Follies, for some reason. Lauren is superb, and has a stunning career ahead of her. Go Lauren!

@missgracegallagher I think she uses her vibrato like someone who actually KNOWS how to use it. When to start it, for example the last note! She is skilled. Without vibrato you might as well listen to a pop singer. Yes there are times are places for this type of singing, and Lauren is doing it where it's meant to be done: in great, powerful musical numbers.

I could listen to Lauren all day. She's just fantastic. I'm currently listening to this on repeat... I wish it was longer. About the bottom 2 business: I think the votes were close for everyone... everyone has their favourites now... and you cannot deny the brilliance of this girl. Can't believe she had terrible hearing most of her life, I'm sure belting songs out like this helped.. her ears popped! heh. Despite what others think Lauren I'd come see you on the West End any day.

C'mon guys, she can't help her face! She's actually really really attractive without makeup on, like in her VTs and stuff. I think this hairstyle makes her face look really harsh anyway. Her voice is genuinly incredible and I'm totally in awe of her!

Lauren is a caring, fun loving and sweet natured person so i find comments saying that she is arrogant (by people who obviously dont know her ) quite offensive. She is always helping out others and i remember her visiting a local hospice near me to talk to children and draw pictures with them. Definately NOT the characteristics of an arrogant person so stop being so gulliable. Her voice is incredible and she deserves to win for being so consistently good and is definately a Dorothy

i dont think she is right for dorothy, but no doubt she has the best voice in the competition. This was the best song performed throughout the competion out of everyone for me.

Lauren- Easilly the best in the competition and should have won but in a way i'm glad she didn't because she will get a bigger part than Dorothy. I hate how one off hand comment off Charlotte Church where she was confusing arrogance with confidence has caused the whole Lauren in arrogant debate. She is NOT arrogant and i don't see how people can believe that she is but then obviously everyone is entitled to their own opinions. Ps. That song is brilliant, her voice was amazing and Lauren is fab!

Even if she doesn't become Dorothy she will go very far! Her voice is absoutely amazing, she already sounds like a professional! I think this programme will open many doors for her. Can't believe she was in the bottom 2 last night let alone had the least votes, i mean what in the world? Maybe people didn't vote for her cause they assumed she was 'safe'? I voted like 5 times. Bless her, i hope people haven't catched on to Charlotte's 'arrogant' remark, she's far from it!

@bigmickeyh All songs are open to interpretation. To me, Lauren sang it more joyful near the end... Also she is taking a song out of its stage musical context and singing it for entertainment value, so this interpretation is valid. I like it. It's different. We all have our idea of what we like, if you have a song fixed in your mind in a certain way and sung by a particular performer it's difficult to shift from that. I know I'm sometimes like that. To each their own, I guess.

Lauren isn't arrogant. If you look at all the girls, you could probably pick out reasons that make them all seem cocky or big-headed. The public only think she's "arrogant" because that's what Charlotte Church said she was on the second week.

P3Linz, she was in the sing-off because she's very arrogant. You'd think she'd learn from her last VT mistake but obviously not... She is a slick performer, and has every right to be confident (as you said she is indeed the most consistent), but I really don't think the public warm to people who 'love themselves' to much.

@kteddy100 Well, he did need to save her during the weekend anyway, just the same as he did Danielle. But if the next time is between two of them, I would bet quite a bit of money, he would save Danielle against Lauren. As would I. Danielle's looks and graceful demeanor are more suited to Dorothy. I don't want to say too much against Lauren on this page, but I deffo don't think she would be the right choice.

@GracieGurl100 I don't think she is arrogant, but the 1st week she came across as arrogant and I agreed with Charlotte - I think it was a good thing to get out the way as it made her rethink her attitude and how she came across. I wasn't sure of her until after charlotte said that, then I realised how great she is. - especially considering she has hearing difficulties

I agree that she's very talented. I just think she uses far too much vibrato in everything she sings. I have a pet hate for vibrato so this is what's putting me off. I mean, a little vibrato here and there is alright just to colour it but you don't have to sing every single note with it. It ruins the song for me :/

I sometimes wonder about this voting system putting Lauren in the bottom two and saying she had the least votes,if you couldn't get through that to me says the lines were busy with people voting for her,doesn't make any sense to me! I serously think that she is too good for this,i have a suspicion that Danielle is going to win as they think Lauren is too professional! I wouldn't be surprised if she is in the bottom two again tomorrow,i sincerely hope not!
