Your new "do" is so cute! Genius idea to incorporate the beginnings of graying. I agree with you on Heathcliff. Also no to Uriah Heep in David Copperfield.

I also went back to eating fish - I just tell people I mostly eat vegetarian but not all the time. I'm all about people doing what they feel is best for their own health - an all or nothing pressure on people will never work! Really enjoyed Ordinary Human Failings too :) Love the hair!!

The hair lovely, the walk gorgeous, and the Friday night recipes...chefs kiss! I love seeing people live life to the full. I hope you enjoy your crochet course. I'm currently trying to get back into knitting; can't decide between a beginner shawl, a slipover which is a bit ambitious, or self striping socks. If I start now I can knit my fam socks for Christmas. I'm currently reading Jane Austen at Home by Lucy Worsley, Human Acts by Han Kang, and Half-Arse Human by Leena Norms.

Thank you so much! The crochet course went …ok, I can do a chain stitch and get started, but everyone has to start somewhere!

I've just finished shy creature's. Absolute 5 star. I've read all Claire Chambers, and I love her books.❤❤

What is your favourite of hers? I just LOVED Shy Creatures so much!

@LaurenAndTheBooks. Shy Creatures and Learning to swim. I've just checked, and I actually haven't read The editors wife. So that now on my TBR. Xxx

I would absolutely swerve Tom Buchanan from The Great Gatsby and choose Gabriel Oak from Far From the Madding Crowd. Food looked amazing, but SO MANY ingredients! Lovely walk too and the hair looks great.

Heathcliff was the only character to come to my mind as well! Wonderfully cosy vlog as usual xx

I struggle with this question as well as I don’t really get a crush on book characters with maybe one exception - Jack Barak in the Shardlake series by C J Sansom (R.I.P)

Love the hair and another lovely vlog! I generally have a really good January- so far have loved The Safekeep, Private Rites, and Everything Under. Also really enjoyed Neon Roses and The 392, both as excellent audiobooks.

Hello Lauren, up until now have been just a "watcher" of the vlogs, but I would put forward Edward Cazalet as a no. Jackson Brodie (Kate Atkinsons series) as a yes. Thank you for the vlogs 😊

Hi Lauren I love your hair - it’s so pretty. Love this Reading Vlog. It is only 8 Degrees above Zero F out with a -2 below zero on this Wednesday Early Early morning. It is 2:39 am on this Wednesday the 15th of January. We have been having extreme cold weather - snow and high winds the last few days. Stay Warm - Happy Reading ❤️🤗☕️🔰❤️

lol Bob Crachett would be my pick . Just a complete good guy. The guy I’d stay away from is Captain Ahab. What a whack job he was! Really enjoy your podcast! 💕📚

I notice the prawns were left in the cooking pot, what a shame they didn’t cook. I haven’t eaten meat for 35 years but do eat fish but struggle with the texture of prawns being so “meaty”. The fish chowder sounds tasty though.

We did eat them! They were yum! 😊
