Yeah, I agree, 2025 has sucked so far. I've been evacuated from my house due to the fires in L.A. It was nice to have some books to look forward to

I hope you continue to be safe and that your house survives. Books sure can be a great distraction.

I love an anticipated books video, it's always great to know what's coming up. I hadn't heard about that new Jane Rawson for instance, but am fully on board with that now. As an Australian it really doesn't matter when videos come out because of the time difference. I suspect it would be the same for all the non Europeans.

I don't care what day you publish your videos as long as you don't post them at the same time as The Artist Formerly Known As Your Mother. It's happened before, and it really does my head in.😆

Hahaha. Oops. She tends to do Wednesday’s and I don’t tend to be a mid week uploader. I would see it as double the joy 😉
@MJ-in-Canada12 сағат бұрын
@@SavidgeReads It truly is double the joy except when you post at exactly the same time as your Mum and I have to decide which of you to watch first. It's like picking a favourite child.🤣

@ hahahaha. She tends to post 15 mins before me 😉

Yes, please. More of these most anticipated videos! I added a few from today’s video to my library list and a couple others to my bookshop wishlist. The new Han Kang book sounds fantastic from that description! It doesn’t matter to me which day you post your videos. Whenever they are ready to go works for me.

Any day that works for you is good for me. Happy new year.

Whenever you wish to present videos, I will watch them.

It does not matter to me which day of the week you post your videos, I will always make sure to watch whenever time allows. If how fast we watch your videos after they've been posted matters to your stats and the algorithm, I would say that I watch more KZbin on weekday evenings (Mondays to Thursdays), but I don't know if that makes a difference.

Some that I had on my list too. Now I’ve added even more. 😊💙

I love learning about upcoming book release and especially about the titles you are particularly excited for, so more of these as the mood strikes would be excellent. We are finally getting Gliff and The Proof of My Innocence in the US and i can’t wait for them, along with a new Anne Tyler novel in February. I say put vlogs on your channel as they are good to go. No imposter syndrome warranted!

I have the new Anne Tyler but didn’t include it. Naughty me. I also naughtily forgot to include Eowyn Ivey which is unforgiveable!!!!!
@cindyhaiken564410 сағат бұрын
@ oooh yes, I’m very eager to read that one too!

Ooh I have written a few of these down, cheers. Love these kind of vids. I'm looking forward to The Unworthy by Augustina Bazterrica, The Lamb by Lucy Rose and the new ones by Wally Lamb and Eowyn Ivey. Currently galloping through The Reformatory by Tananarive Due which is fabulous and dipping into Rites of Passage: Death and Mourning in Victorian Britain.

How did I not include Eowyn Ivey!!!! Probably because she’s not on my 2025 books shelves. Drats. I’m sooooo excited for that. I keep seeing The Lamb and I am intrigued.

“Simonize” is now part of the booktube lexicon.

I wish I could take the credit for that term… but it’s actually my CEO at work who came up with that. They’ll as me to look at projects that might not initially seem super duper exciting, and ‘Simonise’ them as she puts it. Haha.

When is your bookclub as I would like to join even though the time will be all over the place? Am going to a bookclub in Aust for a newly published book Blood and Gold with author Michael Trant in person in Feb -(book published 21 Jan ) and in March The Bad Bridesmaid by Rachel Johns (publication date 28th Jan). Loved your video.

Speaking of queer farm hands I immediately thought about the film Gods Own Country, Francis Lee’s debut ❤
