My husband and I are upgrading my rings. We've been married for 24 years in October. I love asscher cut diamonds, but not many sites offer asscher cut. I would love to see more about the asscher cut diamond.

Asscher cut looks smaller for its carat weight. U need a high grade color and clarity because the asscher cut doesn't hide inclusions. It's most expensive cut and it's rare so not many sites offer it

I notice that videos, of diamonds, don't do justice to a stones' scintillation (fire), so you need to see it in person. If you ask to see 3 or 4 stones in the same price range, at the same time, and under the same lights one of the stones will jump out at you. The other stones, which don't jump out, will end up being sold online, site-unseen, based on it's certification information. (That's a blunder). Finally, yet most importantly...don't spend your money on any diamond that is not engraved.

My antique old Euro Cushion is a 2.38 carat, non engraved as it’s a family heirloom piece, and it appraised at over 30k. There are ways multiple to determine as natural stone without an engraving. Definitely worth being extremely careful, but if you want an antique cushion, they’re over 100 years old and will very rarely be engraved.

Love the cushion cut with larger facets. The crushed ice look is tacky
