_"since I became a Muslim nine years ago I have considered living in a Muslim country "_ - You could try Indonesia. Largest muslim majority country by population. They're far away from conflict zones, generally neutral with no political ties to any international security alliance (meaning it won't get dragged into any dumbass wars like many countries here in the west who are allied to the US or NATO), relatively stable society both socially and politically, and a G20 nation with a good prospect for growth in the future. Assuming the current newly elected President doesn't screw it up. People there also tend to have a positive view of westerners who turn to Islam and are very welcoming. You won't have any problems finding a community.

I clearly understand that naked woman is not good and covering a normal garment is respectful for a woman but to cover your face can not be included this and this is too radical and illogical. According to you, does The God wants woman hiding in the garment and being taken from the society , I am muslim and I do not think God wants this. But I pray and read the Koran every day. I miss the spirituality here in Switzerland. But I have non-Muslim children and one of them is only 4 years old. I'm now thinking about moving away with her. I would suggest try Malaysia, Turkiye or why not come to Sydney to visit and live in one of the Muslim suburbs to try it out - those suburbs like Lakemba, Belmore, Bankstown etc are close to the central business district and are vibrant places plus have the best of Islam. You will safe there as well and there re lots of female Aussie reverts living there as well.

One comment regarding the fisk market area in Üsküdar. The central parts of Üsküdar (especially the area which is flat and at Sea level) are not solid against Earthquake risk. I advise very much to stay in a location outside of Üsküdar center. Easy rule of thumb is: If a place is on a hill and not at Sea level, then is it is mostly solid rock beneath and much safer in case of an earthquake. At least, the building should be max 20 years old, since older buildings were not built for earthquake resistance

I spent 10 years in the US and the UK during my studies, but felt like a fish out of water; the Imperial College London photographer once told me, "you speak good English, but you don't think in English!". This has been my dilemma throughout. I always counsel my faculty and students to stand on their feet and hold their head high up in the air, like proud citizens; if your pride (not arrogance) is gone, half the battle is won by the adversary; I think the Turkish people have this quality.

I traveled through Turkey for a month during the last elections and took part in an Erdogan rally showing my 3 finger salute while dancing with the crowd and took part in the AK PARTi victory celebrations in the square in Bursa my favorite city in Turkey. The bulk of my stay was in Istanbul in two spells. Firstly at the beginning of my travels where I stayed in Yedikule for a week and 10 days in Balat at the end as there was so much to see and do while also being mesmerized by the Bosphorus. It is also a place where you can make your Salaah on time and in congregation even as a traveler because there are so many mosques. But most fascinating for me just like you say is that you feel that you are walking in a film set and part of history which is around every corner and yet connected to 21st century comfort and modernity. One of my highlights was stumbling across by chance seeing the almost 2000 year old Column of Constantine which I did not even know of before.

Istanbul for me is a country within a country. It's a fascinating city and there is a lot to see. I find the people quite nice, very helpful and they mind their own business, not bothering anyone. Sadly enough, the inflation factor got in the way and boosted the prices to an unbelievable level. Everything got a lot more expensive than a few years ago and this had somehow pushed people away from Turkiye. I love Istanbul, it's really a dream city.

Your sister and your new friend I also love Turkey, it has a pure spirit and beautiful air that I feel while watching the video. I hope that one day I will visit Turkey with my family and I especially love to visit it during Ramadan to pray Tarawih in the Hagia Sophia Mosque. 😢🎉

Assalamalaikum, I am a born Muslim, born and raised in Europe. I go to turkey every year or so to visit some family there. I recently went to turkey again and heard the adhan there 5 times a day for the first time *as far as I can remember. But for me, due to my health, it’s unfortunately not an ideal place to reside in. Fortunately, I can practice my religion well in my country here.
