The argument is always ‘you can’t have surgery until you’re 18’ but what happens if the child takes puberty blockers, then decides they don’t want to continue and are now stuck permanently with a deep voice, infertility, an Adam’s apple, facial hair, breasts etc! I’m pretty sure these blockers would stop you growing taller & damage bones too. Absolutely no intervention should be available until they are a fully grown adult, with mental health help offered until then. Nobody should be saying these blockers are safe when that is not true & we don’t fully know the risks of them yet.

Anyone who claims to remember anything from the age of 3 makes me laugh, absolute BS! lol Great talk though, sounds like Kellie had a hard life. Talking about Trans athletes its not just hormone levels that make the difference, bone and muscle density the size of a mans heart etc are the biggest difference and those hardly change after transition.

This is the first time I've listened to a trans person and felt enough empathy for them that I would be willing to address them as their transitioned name of choice. What i wouldn't do however, is agree with them that they are female. That's a no go for me. I think Kellie should be able to live his life as he chooses. He seems calm and respectful and not wishing to push an agenda down people's throats, just wants to live his life as the person he has chosen to be. He is at an age where I don't beleive his gender dysphoria can be treated medically or psychologically, not like someone a lot younger with their whole life in front of them. Enjoy your life Kellie, you have earned it and keep living true to yourself, never turn into someone who force feeds people thier beliefs 👏

Doing no harm apart from talking rubbish about wrong sex hormones and irreversible surgeries. These things are not reversible. You can have a tattoo removed- but a shadow is left behind in the deep dermis, which is why big rubbish tattoos are re inked. Permanent damage is being done to young confused boys/men; girls/women, that cannot be glossed over.

Kellie argues against labels. However, reality--and labels--do in fact matter. We have finite resources in the world; for example: allocating obstetric and gynecological resources to biological men because they "feel" female is both insulting and a waste of time and money. Kellie is downplaying any number of statistics because reality doesn't fit with his fiction. The trans community has disproportionate influence in society. In the US, some school systems are indeed allowing and encouraging young children to live (during school hours) in the fiction of another persona. More and more trans athletes are stealing top prizes from female competitors. Puberty blockers and trans hormones are directly correlated with numerous--and permanent--health consequences.
