I'm American, so perhaps that has an influence in this. I'm also not one to dance around things or sugar coat them. I don't think you come off like you perceived the burger guy. He was just asking. Sometimes you just need the information quickly to make an informed decision. Can't fault someone for being direct and skipping "social norms" when he's involved in some sort of emergency. The problem is not you, nor burger guy. The problem is people that can't handle direct communication from time to time. Don't change. We are here for the real (as far as we know) Lawrence.

I entirely agree with this analysis. I think however you have not looked at what FSG did with the Red Sox - Mookie Betts for instance. We should agree the contracts and if necessary sell them in 2 years time if their levels drop. We aren’t a great team we lack depth and quality when Jota is not available and god help us if Ryan gets injured. We need quality reinforcements in Jan but history says we won’t

I find Slot dull but I agree about him not getting carried away. IF we lose to MC then 5 points isn't much, even if it remains 8 (I think we'll draw that game) that can still be whittled away. We have most of our easy games already played and we weren't great against Southampton. I know people are saying we should just enjoy this but getting carried away and getting complacent could cost us. That said if we do beat MC it would take a huge collapse by us not to at least finish above them.
