It's always hard to leave places and things you love. This week it's time for me to continue moving south and I got to spend so many beautiful days out on the water simply sailing. I am still stopping to see friends and while doing so, I had a few marine life interactions that definitely became a highlight.

Al Hirt, the jazz musician, used to go deep sea fishing on powerboats out of New Orleans. He said he took two ice boxes, one full of beer, the other full of dynamite. The trick was to remember which one to light and throw overboard.(g)

Hi Lauren, I know how it is waiting for the wind. I am making my way west along the south of the U.K. in my yacht. The prevailing winds are always from the west or southwest and pretty much on the nose. Keep safe, love your videos and let’s hope the wind blows the right direction for both of us.

Hi, not wishing to sound horrible, but in this world of obesity and subsequent illnesses that will inevitably follow, it is is really nice to see an independent young woman with a slim, fit and healthy looking body, so active and alive! I’m 76 and when in my teens and twenties nearly all girls were in this kind of shape! It was just lovely all round and we did so much activity together with no nasty ulterior motives, ( other than natural inclinations that all young pairing-up couples should have!) Go girl! Cheers

The Bahamas is the most peaceful and protected place you will ever sail. But the Caribbean is magic that can't be explained. When you arrive in the Caribbean Islands you will connect with global sailing community with boats and sailors from all over the world heading in every direction. There are no bugs, air conditioners, and few docks. The Caribbean islands are an anchor community living on the hook. There is 15 knots or more of wind from the same direction (SE) every day. In the British Virgin Islands you will find 50 protected anchorages. The open sea is rough all the time. It's the sailing capital of the world and some of the best diving you will find anywhere. Getting there is the tough part. It's into the wind and ocean current all the way to Puerto Rico. Keep your fuel tanks full. And your head high as always. I will miss your extraordinary coverage of the Bahamas. No one has ever shown the Bahamas as well as you have.

Single-handed island hoping is the perfect title and the best plan. You continue to impress me with your brilliance and ability to adopt to changing situations. There are three hurricanes heading your way. I can tell you that the best Caribbean sailors sail away from the hurricane belt in August and September. It's better in the Caribbean islands but not during hurricane season. If you will purchase a cheap inverter generator all of your plans will be safer and more sustainable. Total dependence on solar power not bullet proof. You are always in my prayers and at the top of my most likely to succeed list.

Another great video. Those dolphins loved seeing you and your video reminds us why we need to take better care of our oceans. I can't believe you would even get in the water with the tiger shark anywhere near you. Back when I was able to swim in the ocean, I exited immediately when a large tiger was in the area. I'm more afraid of them than a great white. I really admire your abilities and can't believe someone as young as you is so mature and capable.
