Hi Lauren, I’ve been with you since the beginning. Painting your staircase black will be sophisticated. I’m glad you said you’re having sofas in the living room. When you have a fireplace, sofas are a must. Maybe you should consider moving the table and chairs in your kitchen area, making your front entrance another living area. I love your style and all of your content. You’re so chill about painting the cabinets. I agree, I’d paint it all as well. I know you’re hip and know what’s “in”, excited to see the progress. I admire your chill attitude. You go girl. Also, maybe your son’s wardrobe set up would look better without the black draping, just an idea. Maybe a look of industrial would be cool. Moving is hard, something that helped me when we made a big move a few years ago was to label the boxes and bags with the room they belonged in. Then when they were brought in the house it all went to the rooms. Made unpacking so much easier.
