Another thing about the baby blues that people don’t talk about is that you get so much attention during your pregnancy from family, friends, strangers, and doctors and then you have your baby and nobody seems to care about you anymore. It’s no longer how are you feeling it’s now how is the baby doing. And no matter how much you love your child, when those hormones are going that crazy you start to feel not necessarily jealous of the baby but jealous of the attention or lack there of. You go from having this amazing bond with your unborn child and everyone saying you’re glowing to people only asking about the baby and now you have this small human that cries nonstop, never sleeps, is always hungry, doesn’t stop pooping, and seems like they hate you. But after a few weeks your hormones start to level out and the baby begins adjusting to being outside of the womb and life starts to feel a little bit more normal. I’ve never met anyone that didn’t feel like they were going a little crazy in those first few weeks but like Lauren said, every pregnancy is different.

Yeah my friend had a kid few years ago and I'm a babysitter for her when I can but I met her in those 2 weeks and I asked how she was after the birth and how is she doing with her life. And she started crying saying: "Nobody has ever asked me about me only about the baby and it's so heavy on me." So now I always ask about the recent mother first. It can make their day to just brag for once. Now her kid is five and an amazing kiddo.

@@cry432 That is very nice of you. And your friend is 100% right. No one seems to care. But most of that is the hormones. And also when you’re pregnant people are only asking how you’re doing because of the fact that you’re pregnant. A lot of people don’t realize how long it takes the body to recover after pregnancy and how you don’t have time to eat, sleep, or even take a shower. You feel gross and it means a lot to hear someone ask how you’re doing or for your partner to say how beautiful you look. A little bit of kindness can go so far

@@booki7057 it’s been rough. My nanny who was my entire world died in February, when she was getting worse she told me she wanted me to get healthy so that was what started my weight loss journey. But my sister dying in September, seven months after my nanny, (we all lived together and were incredibly close) hit me like a brick. It got me in a better place, in the sense of I no longer had a safety net so it pushed me to be a better mom and person, but it made me start being unhealthy again. My sister had a lot of health issues, the biggest issue and cause of her death was being incredibly overweight (she was close to 600lbs. She had so much trauma and health issues and a child like mind, she escaped through food and the internet and just wouldn’t accept how unhealthy she became until it was too late) so to honor her I really want to push myself to get back healthy! My nieces are 6 and 8, and I still check to make sure they're breathing. My little brother is now 21, and when I visit, any time I go to the bathroom at night, I'll listen at his door to make sure he's still breathing. We shared a room from when he was 2 years old until he was around 12/13 and we moved house. From being really little, due to or genetic disorder causing or capillaries to be more vulnerable, so we bruise like peaches and are prone to nose bleed, his nose would burst in his sleep, and he'd start gargling/drowning on his blood. Being a light sleeper, I would be instantly awake at the sound, jump out of bed, turn him on his side, and slowly wake him before cleaning him, the bed, and the wall up. I think being only 8 when that started, and having neglectful parents that left me in charge, it just imbued in me that all children in my care will stop breathing and/or drown in their blood. Now you'd think that living with my partner, being 27 and not having kids, this would improve, EXCEPT that my partner is a very active sleeper/dreamer, so makes crazy noises and also dreams he's swimming so has to hold his breath. The first time he held his breath, he was kicking the mattress, arching his back, and beating the covers, then gasping for air, I thought "holy shit, he's having a seizure!" Until I woke up a little more, realised he's asleep, woke him to make him stop, and he goes "But I was swimming! It was the breaststroke!" 🤣

Each kid that age that I’ve met has had something they are particularly good at, for my cousin, it’s talking an her memory, she knows her abc’s, how to count to 20, and speaks in sentences! Can’t wait to hear what Melody’s is, and how her personality grows! I also hope she loves bread just like her mom ❤️❤️❤️

I appreciate this ‘series’ (if you will) because it shows how human you are; and I love how you are completely crystal when answering these types of questions. Not to mention, I’m glad you are still taking care of yourself despite everything, what with being a mom and all. You are by far the most transparent and real ‘influencer’ I know. I admire how you balance your life. I’m glad you’ve become happy about making content again! Take care ❤️ 💕

My anxiety levels have been really high lately and it’s been pretty scary, because of the panic attacks. It was nice to hear someone I look up to a lot talk about it, since my parents kind of avoid the issue. I mean, not really, but they never seem to have the time to talk about it.

It’s really cool how she feels comfortable answering questions! I could never😂 also can we appreciate how pretty Lauren is!😍 we love you Lauren! I’m so sorry that there are some creeps, that is not okay for some people to do🥺

I wanna say these questions really make me appreciate Lauren more. Like she's comfortable talking about these things even if she hates to talk about herself (Which btw there is no need to feel that way Lauren many of us including me love to learn and listen to you) and she expresses her true opinions and full stories to us which shows how much she trusts us and she is always showing appreciation and admiration for Bobby and Melody and Dexter and her friends and fellow youtubers and us. Btw Lauren idk about the rest of the fandom but i would be competely fine if you took a break. It's your life, and you matter! Thank you so much Lauren!

Also it’s very smart to wait for another baby lol. My son was like 3 months old when I had my daughter. I LOVE them so much and can’t fathom life without them at all! But it was very difficult to handle two under two! And it’s still chaos now. sometimes I wish that I waited a little but I wouldn’t change things now lol Edit: my son was 3 months when I got PREGNANT with my daughter! Haha my brain is foggy!

Honestly Lauren is such an angel, she answers all these questions which no doubt help a lot of people. Another thing that helps with anxiety (that doesn't cost money) is blowing on the tip of your thumb, because it helps with nerves, e.g. an interview, a test at school, anything like that. It doesn't work immediately but after a couple blows it works I swear. It sounds so weird though. It's just another strategy that doesn't cost money.

Hey Lauren, I also have anxiety. I used to take Ashwagandha until I found out it can cause blood to thicken which is fine as long as you don't already have a condition where your blood is thicker than it should be. Not sure if you know that but be careful with that 😊

Hey Lauren I loved this video, and can appreciate how hard getting in exercise must be right now, but I will say take all the time to relax and rest as you need. As a cheer coach to tiny aged athletes (ages 3-5) and, a proud Aunt to two nieces and a young nephew, let me just say wait until Melody is 2 -3 years old. You will have SO MUCH exercise, and fun because at that age they are all energy, always on the go! The 3 year-olds I coach can make an hour and a half practice feel like I just ran a marathon lol. That being said I wouldn't trade my time with them for anything they are incredible children and seeing them succeed and learn is just amazing. I may never have kids of my own, but the parents at our cheer gym say I am their "go shopping, or have a coffee hero" as they can have that moment of time for themselves. I feel pretty great about being that outlet for the parents :)

As for the hips, give yourself a lot of leniency. They might not go back, your bones literally moved to allow a baby to pass through. Those hips don't lie, you brought another human into the world. Luckily that means that if you have another baby then labor is usually easier as the path is already paved for the next baby.

The fact that you confidently said that you didn't want your old life back is awesome. You did a lot of things and you feel that this is the next step, you need a little 'spice' in your life which is your daughter. Honestly, I think it's really healthy and in my book really responsible and good parenting. I don't have a kid but I will have someday and when I do I want to feel the same way. No regrets and only when I absolutely feel that I can give 100% to them. I know of course that life is not that simple but I am hoping. Thank you for sharing these things. I've always felt that you and Bobby are really sensible people and this video just made it clearer. Keep up the good work. :)

Hey Lauren, I hope that you're doing great today! Just wanted to give a little request... hope you don't mind... 😅 So if you ever have another baby and it just so happens to be a girl... I was thinking of maybe calling her Harmony, because like... Melody and Harmony! But you don't have to do it if you don't want to, since i won't force you to if you ever have another child... Just a little suggestion that's all! Btw LOVE your videos and I can't wait for more! (Especially the minecraft series) 😁💜🤗
