great feel, i'm amazed at how many chord solos you can keep in your head at one time. seems like as soon as i learn one i forget one

glad you like these, memorizing them is a bit of a challenge and execution can always be better and really understanding them theoretically is an unending 'mining' process. i'm forever coming up with new mistakes to make, so the repetition aids in getting them planted in the brain.

Wonderfully played. I'm continually amazed at the number of great jazz players I keep digging up on KZbin. Keep it up! What would you suggest to a newcomer to jazz guitar playing? I really want to get into it.

thx for the nice compliment. my advice would be to learn things that you love; ultimately you teach yourself, but we all need tutors in the form of books and teachers to get the complicated truth in bite size form. i like sid jacobs books. there are many good books, finding the ones that make the most sense for you is just part of the journey. don't quit, you can learn to do far more of the stuff you are watching than you might think. keep at it.

As far as cd's go, which do you recommend? I'd like to listen to some and learn by ear. Again, I'm relatively new to the jazz area.
