Over the past year, I have fallen in love with this Channel. I love all of the wonderfully deranged people featured, but these two have become my absolute favorite players in NRB along with Adam "Mr. Monopoly" Blampied. And having them go mano y mano like this was a joy to watch. I was surprised that they didn't somehow both get eliminated at the end of this, though.

Spoilers: - - - - 1:05:23 what if Sully had used Tiger with his right-side piece (his left) to move forward 2 spaces? I don't think Laurie can counter that. Then Sully either does Goose on the piece next to him, or Crab on the throne (assuming you can jump over an opponent, which I think is a legal move). He doesn't win since it's not his Sensei on the throne, but he is guaranteed to knock down one of Laurie's pieces. Am I missing something here? I might just be an idiot.

I don't think the NRB team fully understood how much more pressure they would feel in these 1v1 tournament games, but I have to admit a little part of me has very much enjoyed the extra stress and discomfort in addition to the usual manic unravelling that Mr Gracey has been known to deliver

Any thoughts about doing these as a youtube premiere? At the moment, the lengths of the videos help to indicate how many games are played which you don't see when a video is premiering, so at least that audience would be 'unspoiled'. I don't think there is a solution for the pre-recorded ones beyond adding dead space at the end, or having to make extra content

It is criminal that we only get 1 upload a week on a Saturday. Brian Children with his very much unbiased yet highly Sully faithful commentary was good especially the reaction for Laurie's win 😂. It was also nice to get a little bit of Fiasco in this round as well. This tournament and all the content has been fantastic. I can't wait for the next round to see how Trudy's commentary is for the next competitors.

I feel a bit bad for Laurie in round one because I saw a move that he had at 13:20 where if I understand the rules right he could have won by playing frog to take a pawn then force a checkmate or possible win with mantis if sully didn't catch it. Then game three if Sully had of used crab then tiger he would have taken game three practically from the beginning.
