Let me be clear on something: We were not bored,we understood the greatness of what we were watching. I got up at 430am and got ready, drove to the Airport and caught a flight from Chicago with a connecting flight in Pittsburgh. Then boarded again before making it to the Bronx. Then Caught a rideshare to my hotel . Caught the 4 train to Yankee stadium and waited in line. I was in the stage area and still stood most of the time for over 2 dozen acts and 7 hours and yelling most of the night BEFORE finally seeing Nas and RUN DMC. I love NAS,appreciate his greatness and saw him in Chicago last year for the NEW York State of Mind Tour with Wu Tang, but Friday after all those performances,we were all drained! Crowd was live as hell, but tired as hell by the end of the night! Before y’all make these judgmental comments, consider people that spent all day getting ready, flying in from across the country and transporting all day for this! Hell even for the ones that live nearby,to stand in line, stand and yell and scream for 7 hours and THEN AT THE END see Nas and RUN DMC,it would be draining. Y’all would’ve had to be there to understand, but the night as a whole was definitely lit 🔥

This is in response to the negative views of the crowd. I was there and I can tell you straight up the crowd was hype and excited for EVERY act!! All of these videos being posted do not tell the real story of the crowd's enjoyment. The problem is, when a concert is 8 hours long and most of us had NO IDEA it was going to be this long, you lose steam after about 5-6 hours. Let's be honest, a large percentage of the audience is over 40 years old. I would even dare to say 50 and plenty of people in their 60s as well. By the time Nas came on, we were nearly at the 7 hour mark and it's almost 1am. We've been cheering, screaming and standing up for hours and hours. Not to mention it took many of the people with seats on the floor over 2 hours to even get into the stadium so add that time too. And I'll be honest, I love RUN DMC as much as anyone, but by the time they came on stage many of us were just worn out. I saw a great majority of the crowd actually leaving. Not because we don't love Run and D but people had families to get home to, and also trains that go to Long Island, Westchester and Jersey start running every 3 hours at a certain point and no one wants to be stuck in the city at 3am and your next train is at 6am. This was more than a concert it was actually a festival. Festivals usually start in the afternoon and go into the night. Starting a festival at 6pm that goes until 2am and you are 40-50 + years old ain't easy. But I was glad that I got to experience history and will remember this night for the rest of my life. Lauryn Hill's appearance actually did give many of us new life and that jolt we needed to keep going.

Nas is the goat lyricist. No better representative for hip hop. Where’s the other so called greats? Anyone who made millions off hip hop should have been present.

I was at this historical event, and it was phenomenal. The artists just kept coming. It was like revisiting the soundtrack of one's life, and even beyond. So many triggered memories. So grateful.
