Source: Volcano Video Productions which sadly went out of business during Covid. The source DVDs are no longer available for purchase anywhere so I uploaded them to KZbin for preservation purposes. They still have a KZbin channel here: / @volcanovideoinc
Their website is still up but all of the links are dead: www.volcanovid...
Enjoy all of the magnificent footage!

You know why the Hawaiians called the Jagged sharp lava flows A'a? Because when they walked on it.... they said "AH....AH!!!" ^_^

A'a is not an actual word. It was the sound that some ancient person made when they accidentally stepped on a jagged piece. 😅

I’m not impressed with the Hawaiian naming of the lava flows, for a documentary, they’re not very scientific nor do they help describe the flow types. As one person has already joked, they sound more like the sound made when walking across them, it’s too child-ike

They are called these in all geology and the study of volcanoes and geology. You really wanted to sound anti woke and failed.
