Yes, it will be. Even though I've never played the Blue Lava, I have it under good authority that the updates are for all models that have the touch screen.

My new lava 3 is on an infinite loop downloading version 2.1.3. I can’t get past the ‘to install the update, please charge to 40%’ I’m plugged in at 54%. Any tips?

Hello I bought a new Lava Me Play guitar from a Chinese e-shop, when it arrived it was already activated, but I tried to activate it on my account, but I can't do it, I'm from Slovakia, what should I do, please help me

Thanks so much for the video. You have a new subscriber!! Quick question. Once you do the software upgrade, is my Lava ME 3 exactly the same as a new Lava Me 4? Is the software the only change between the guitars? Also, do you know if the new foot pedals will work with a Lava Me 3 once the HI LAVA 2.0 is installed? Thanks so much Lee!!!

Apologies for the late reply. I don't actually have the LAVA ME 4 in carbon, so it's hard for me to tell you the difference regarding playability, but as far as I understand, the 4 has an upgraded electronic system, so it won't be exactly the same. The pedals do work with the 3, though!

Why wouldn't they make it compatible? That would be just stupid if they didn't.

People would complain, for sure. All I'm saying is it shows that they are forward-thinking. They could have made the LAVA ME 3 with no consideration for future updates. The new software doesn't require so much of the hardware that old models can't cope with it.

@@leetownsend Is the spruce all weather too? Or just the Play? Original I was going to order the green one whichever one that is until I saw the new spruce one but if it's not then I might just cheap it out a little and get the Play just because it's all weather compatible or resistant or whatever it is.

Obviously, with it being wooden, it won't be totally weatherproof. After saying that, the finish feels very solid, and not as delicate as most acoustics. I don't think the Lava Me Spruce will be any less weatherproof than the Play, to be honest. They all feel very durable. Take that with a pinch of salt, though. I haven't weather tested any of them.
