Look. Somebody may think Al's boring singer. That does absolutely not mean they think he's a bad musician or songwriter. After all, Beethoven was (probably) a very dull guitar player; and his pan-pipe playing may have left a lot to be desired. That's all irrelevant, because what really matters here are his skills as a songwriter, not as a performer.
