Personally this is the by far the best song Ministry ever wrote. The lyrics, the delivery, drums ,guitar synth...it all just works perfectly.

@@TurboLemon @Fly Paper cos many people grew up on electronic industrial ministry in late 80s. This is the slowest and imo the heaviiest ministry album. This song accompanied me when I'm in hospital to ease the extreme pain of hemorrhoids stage 4 surgery. Not just because of the pain is unbearable, but being alone at hospital without anyone looking after me. If not because of this song (playing at loop for hours) I might giving up.

To me, he (Al Jourgenson) is the Bishop, and on behalf of the Queen (society’s rulers), he’s inviting us to watch the fall of civilization. All of us were taken (for a ride) and all that was is gone, meaning nothing will ever be the same, or, as it was. This song, is melodically, lyrically, and texturally a masterpiece, on par with any modern music ever written.

Look that is total nonsense. If you remember the popularity of the Mind is a Terrible Thing to Taste and the explosion of Psalm 69, you would know that they were celebrated and cited as a huge influence on the music scene at the time. Psalm 69 was a platinum album for crying out loud. I read a lot of music press at that time and they were everywhere. Unfortunately Heroin had long had its hooks in the band and they succumbed to that devastation and were subsequently eclipsed by other bands. Those albums are still widely regarded and rated as classics.
