nice video, some good info. I have a question if you dont mind...and if you know the answer! The new controller...it says the bonus on the screenshot is it can do an higher altitude, do you know if that works with the heater, rather then going into the settings and changing hz etc... manually.

I got a 2kw Lavaner from their site and it came with all the rubbish components not the newer stuff. Was only £79.99. Guess that's the difference with pro model.

Im pretty sure the LCD remote does not work with the Lavaner controller. Happy to be proven wrong though if you have managed to get it working!

What about the insides of the actual hear, is the metal better? I'd asuume it still have to be aluminium for the heat transfer? Is the core made of stainlesss steel unlike the other chinese heaters?

Can you comment on operating noise? Is the 5 KW quitter than the 2 KW lavaner like on the chinese heaters? I'm planning to use a heater in my civic, would 5 kw be over kill? It be drawin air from outside, and it's gets cold here in Canada, maybe -15 celcius. Want a quiet heater but also don't want it too how. My civic is not insulated.

Hey, sorry only just seen this, yes the burner on the Lavaner is stainless steel and so is the fan bracket. Yes a 5kw would be way oversized for a civic go for 2kw. You wouldn't need to run a 2kw high to heat a civic either so it shouldn't make much noise at all. The fan is double balanced so that makes them quieter than most chinese units.

@@gpw955 We will not be handling the 2kW Pro in the US and do not know. We can not beat the AliExpress purchase, shipping and handling costs. Lavaner heaters on the AliExpress Platform are far below our cost and their warranty takes 6-8 weeks. We only supply the 5kW Alpine in the US and as they are not being supplied at present, we have the only 5 in existence.

I bought a Lavaner Pro 2. The whole of the UK/USA/EU market has been flooded with junk heaters for the last 3 months. So the Lavaner heater is a no brainer. I know people who have had to buy 3 or more Chinese heaters before they got one that works (after some mods)

They are an upgrade for sure but the normal heaters are perfectly fine most of the time its mainly down to poor installations and user error due to the poorly written instructions that get in the way. People having to buy 3 and still having problems though deffo screams user error. nobody could be that unlucky i shouldn't imagine. But poor istallations and user errors can kill them in no time at all

Great production - but lol, biased much? As it happens - the non-straight-through exhaust creates restriction (by definition) to the gas-flow, & this promotes sooting (which I'm sure is great for Lavaner's service revenue). These two exhausts have been compared, & the 'straight-through' is actually just as quiet, if not more so. The Lavaner controller is actually naff, I'm sorry - absolutely no proper control for those serious about tuning it properly.

We're not biased at all. We typically recommend the tricklicks heaters that we compared it too in the post but we always have to recommend that people upgrade a few of the bits and pieces. The Lavaner heater is just actually a good quality bit of kit. We were sent the heater for free to try and test but make no money from the company at all, were paid nothing by them and are giving the heater away because we got it for free :) yeah we have no idea about exhausts to be honest its not our forte and as we said... They baffle us

I used to use Eberspächer, but if the Chinese are going to (also legitimately) execute this device so fantastically, then fair dues to them! Eberspächer & Webasto have more than cashed in on their invention & investment.

They have over 3 times the subscribers in under 6 months. I wonder who is doing it right and who is doing it wrong. I love their videos a lot different to most van life stuff and enjoyable to watch rather than just sticking it through to get the details you need
