Nah man, think bigger. Those shoes are a bargain if he's even a top-15 player. Let's say he is the 2nd coming of Jason Kidd, imagine how much a pair of his rookie/early shoes signed are worth today? Probably more than $995. Those shoes have a great chance of paying for themselves a few times over.
@Nestle2457 жыл бұрын
He lives in a rich white neighbourhood he made it that price just for them and all his family's friends and associates. He can care less about kids or anyone else elsewhere.
@j.m.edwards34257 жыл бұрын
+Jay Edge You're right, but that doesn't really have anything to do with what I said. All I'm saying is that if you look at it, they are a near slam-dunk small investment.
@j.m.edwards34257 жыл бұрын
+Jay Edge Actually no...I'd buy the $995 signed versions. Again, I agree with your principles, but we are looking at the same object and seeing two different things. I'm like you, I rarely spend more than $50 for athletic shoes, but I'm not looking at shoes, I'm looking at memorabilia. As long as he's All-Star level, a pair of his signed shoes will be worth well over $1000 in a few years... and you're telling me if you could go back in time and get a pair of limited edition Kobe signed rookie shoes for $50, knowing they'd be worth WAY more? Eh, ok ....mind you, I won't be buying them, but if I had it like that to where I could drop $1000 with not a whole lot of trepidation, I would.

@cityhawk7 жыл бұрын
Maqorri_Wild92 So what happened to letting your actions do the talking, empty barrels make the most noise? If you're good and you're talented (there is a difference), you don't need to tell the whole world, because the world can see it for themselves. People who are truly confident in their abilities, don't need to speak that much, because they already know it. If you put up MVP-type numbers year after year, you don't have to say a word. You can talk all you want, but if you don't back it up, there will be a lot of people ready to tell you how wrong you were. If Lonzo is as good as his father chirps on about, his performance will back that up, but if not, then we'll see that backlash. Let his play do the talking, and the public will determine how good they think he is.

Benacio; your comment got removed as spam but what you said was completely true. A lot of boys grew up without dads and they grew up in an environment where they are CONSTANTLY told NO. Constantly told they cant do this and they cant do that. That is another reason why the black community in certain low income areas are horrible. The negativity is up to level 1000. Lavar instills confidence and love in his kids. I wish I received that love growing up. He is a role model and I definitely will support him.

I love this brotha for going against the grain. He is setting a precedent, more athletes will create their own brand & the traditional sports apparel companies will have to buy in if they want to continue to wet their beaks @ the expense of someone else's hard work, sweat & tears. I see Dennis Smith Jr. has his own also. Lonzo will be just fine in the league, with his selflessness & high bball IQ on the court. He has an intangible that can't be developed in drills or taught. He has an intuition to see plays before they develop, gets guys in their spots where they are most effective & sets the table for guys making the game easier ala Kidd, Stockton, Lebron, Magic. He keeps a level head ,controls pace & he can create for himself. I look forward to seeing the Lakers rebound a miss, get out on the break, filling the lanes with Lonzo @ the point of attack.

Im not blinded by lavar's opinion to judge how good zo is. its the fact that lavar will bring a lot of drama to the lakers if they draft lonzo. He'll prob criticise luke walton and the laker players if things dont go too well next season and next thing you know, lavar will be like 'we want a 30 percent ownership of the lakers if they wanna re-sign lonzo.'

Well, I disagree..it's easy to judge others..Im not blaming the mom, when the dad does not step up...most single moms r trying as hard as they can to make ends meet..and keep their kids in school, and a path to a better life...not saying they all perfect , but neither r, white , Asian, brown, etc..everyone makes mistakes, but ur past does not define ur future..many successful black , white brown , etc people in all things, give credit to their moms, and grandmas, for helping, supporting, encouraging , them to be better, so I have respect for the single moms of any color, who support and give all they have for their kids...

Looking back on this 7 years later, it’s just 3 fools proving they’re fools. Shocker… the Celtics made the right choice picking Tatum AFTER Fultz and Ball. No, Lavar, Fultz wasn’t the perfect pick for Boston and neither was your overhyped son. Tatum was clearly the perfect player and Danny Ainge was right from the beginning.
