I think anyone that has played a team sport has played with or against a kid who's parents thought they were the next big thing. In this case, nobody could deny the boys' talents; most of us have been following them since they were at Chino Hills. I’ve always respected LaVar for doing everything he could as a father to help his sons achieve their dreams. Even when the world was laughing at him, making jokes at his expense, telling him he was doing it the wrong way and so many more negative things. Props to LaVar and Tina! Great parenting there!

I'm not sure having athletic success is necessarily a sign of good parenting? However, I haven't heard anything negative being said about his kids though - and I'm more impressed with that. The kids have handled the press well and seem quite grounded. Good for them. Richard Williams has two of the greatest female tennis players (and possibly the GOAT) as daughters. I wouldn't call him a great parent. Ditto with Tiger Woods' dad. I'm impressed with Masai Ujiri for having won an NBA Championship and eight straight years of playoffs. But I'm more impressed with his Giants of Africa program and all he does for young people around the world.

I honestly think it’s extraordinary what LaVar has done with his kids. It’s one thing to make noise on social media but it’s another to make noise and actually show out...fame WILL NOT get you into the NBA...it’s the work and mentality that will...and what LaVar and his boys have done is really amazing and only motivating. I love Lavar Ball regardless of what other people think. He’s honestly one of the dopest fathers I’ve ever seen. The fact that he had this amount of confidence in his children is how a Father should be. The fact that he believes things to come fruition and it drives his kids beyond what they see in themselves. It would be different if he was trying to live through his children, but he was well off whether his kids played ball or not. He just wants them to see their full potential and not just settle for status quo.
