The interviewer came into this interview with the intent of getting Lavar to give him a viral moment. Jabbing at him then sitting back and waiting for a blow up response. Treating Lavar like he's a hot head without a filter. He missed a great opportunity to look like a serious interviewer and have a thorough conversation. Instead he came off like a his sole intent was to provoke Lavar into anger.

He is awesome and has such tensity and calm. Mello can really play. His guard handling skills are impeccable and his on-court vision is off the chart. His shooting ability and energy level are very high and once he put on some more weight and improves more, his defense skills. The sky is the limit. The interviewer was just trying to hold his ground, LaVar is an alpha who tries to control the room with his confidence and smile while being aggressive and smooth at the same time. It's the perfect combination for any great negotiator, LaVar could sell cup lids, or straw wrappers, it's how he talked Lonzo into being no. 1 or 2, but with Melo, he's actually speaking the truth. The interviewer isn't being negative he's being objective. Of course, now that we live in an oversensitive society in which every question in which isn't feeding the ego or drowned with positive reinforcement, we cheek it as negative or being a hater, not everyone is looking to being your friend, the man had a job to do, ask objective and fair questions, and by the end of the interview, he was dancing to LaVar's tune anyway. That one question about Melos Childhood was stupid😂. He’s acting like having all your family by your side, living in Chino Hills, playing the sport you love, and being famous on social media wasn’t the perfect childhood

Alvin Gentry listen to you lavar wow and he got great results like you said he would so hopefully he continues to let Lonzo be Lonzo..

Whose here after Lonzo gets to 4 straight 20 point games, Melo 100million dollar contract, and Gelo getting on the OKC Blue. The ball family on a role.

Nobody: Lavar Ball: cause on the fact that...😂 I love the ball Family can’t be hating
@federicomatteoverde86365 жыл бұрын
21:00 what he says makes perfect sense to me. Everybody's hating on lavar didn't ever watched his sons play, because he has a pretty clear vision of how things works. And the interviewer almost laughing at him when he explain his idea is just, let's say rude, but it makes me think that the interviewer didn't ever played a single day of basketball in his life and that would have been better to put someone else as interviewer... :I

I love how the interviewer stuck to his guns Lavar made some good point and terrible points He didn’t let lavar bully him with his opinion he kept asking real questions and was sticking to them
@Juduh5 жыл бұрын
senr those weren’t real questions those where negative questions. He was trying to make Lavar slip up. Don’t be fooled.
@johnallen42295 жыл бұрын
senr what interview were you watching??? Lavar had his way and took over and he has done this sense he has had the spotlight on him Shanon Sharpe is the only person that came real with Lavar this man belief system in his boys are real and there are a lot of gatekeepers who don’t like a black man with his head high and confident I mean really think about it the nba is a giant why is there agenda to make a man look bad for saying his sons are the best ??? The NBA put the mics in his face the news outlets put the mics in his face really look at this .
@Juduh5 жыл бұрын
John Allen what are you talking about.... they had negative connotations to almost every question. Lavar avoided the negative parts and answered the questions very well. So what ever else you’re talking about...
@johnallen42295 жыл бұрын
King Judah lol I totally agree with you Lavar knows how to take over a interview with no problem I was puzzled to what interviewer the gentleman was watching when he said the interview stuck to his guns and asked Lavar the real questions
@5enr5 жыл бұрын
King Judah that was my point they were negative questions because they were the reality. He kept saying LaMelos the best player in the draft. Interviewer kept asking “why are the hawks 4-11” He asked if a team needs a big or wing would they take melo over team need? & there’s a yes and no answer for that. Warriors would NOT take him if they get the number 1 pick. They go Wiseman that’s the realistic choice, but lavar would still think Melos going number which isn’t realistic. That’s what I mean by him sticking to his guns.

Made an excellent point on how you gotta believe in your guys and let them be free. They been playing for a while let them be free. Then coach around wat you got. That’s what messed up my playing days in high school but these guys are professional so I agree

They hyped this guy up and then tried to tear him down... questioned his parenting and his business savy... but he ain’t no different than any other parent who has sons who can play ball, you have the upmost confidence in your kids... only difference is they had him on TV saying his son was better than so and so... he started his OWN brand, his OWN league and did it with his OWN money and OWN kids... I got the upmost respect for him, he’s not perfect at all but you gotta love his love for his family...
