Wow people this is a business not a hoarding. Very organized and clean. She does well and makes her living this way. She may not have a brick and mortar resale shop in a town, but she is very smart to use her home. Very entrepreneur. Love your channel.

it is not hoarding you are right. but it is also bad business. if you have five thousand items at home and only sell one or two a day that is a problem your inventory is to big at that point. the year only has 365 days. i mean keep it less. she is very organized i can tell you that but no, this is to much. but i guess you tube makes it up a bit.

Hmm…we’ll if Karen is selling between 10-20 items per day, then she is in fact selling 3000-7000 items per year! So her comment about adding to her inventory, seems to make perfect sense to me👍🏻😊

@@Jessicaro It may seem too much for you, but it is Karen's business model that seems to work for her. She bought this house and outfitted it to BE her business. You are not in a position to tell the business owner what is or isn't bad business.

Artwork Storage Jinga: to avoid the Jinga game and to prevent the hanger hardware on one frame damaging another, I store my listed artwork vertically on different height racks, set to a few heights. I also face them frame face to face and back to back on the shelf, with a layer of cardboard or 1/4” foam (like poster board) between them. I just cut it to the height of the shelf space. As I pull the art, I leave the cardboard/foam spacers on the shelf, waiting there until they are needed again. When I source the art, I put them into the cart and truck back to back or face to face in pairs

Great sales Karen. I love seeing all you sell. One thing I don't understand is how anyone can call you a hoarder!!! That's an outrageous statement to hear for someone who has been following you from the beginning. If folks continue or watch previous videos, they will see just how much you buy and sell. You are always shipping and in a thrift store daily to replenish all you sell. So my point about the hoarding hurt ME. If you all follow on Instagram Karen list her sales as well. Please stop name calling folks, it's mean and unnecessary. God bless you Karen. Hope you are enjoying your well deserved get away.

I love how you are so open and share so much of your process. You are so giving.

Lathe Turned Bowl: yes, like the evidence that a piece of glass was hand blown, from the pontil marks left from snapping it off the rod, the holes on the bowl are evidence that the block of wood the bowl was made from was screwed to the lathe chuck at some point. For some lathe projects, the “base” where the marks would be is cut off, after the lathe turning, to give a smooth finished product. Great descriptive use of the term.

More lighting: I’ve begun using the new type Led Lights that have 3 or 4 flat panels that can be adjusted to spread the light pattern. They spin into a standard basement style light fixture base, but because they are LED, produce much more light, while using less electricity. As my eyes age, more light is better, in my work areas.

@@lavenderclothesline Hard to tell in the video, with the lights on, but I agree that the new lights are great. Now you'll have to look into adding a few more fixtures, while not overloading the basement circuit. Most basement circuits never received much in the way of amperage, back in the day, because no one spent all that much time down there. If the electrical power panel is already in the basement, then adding an additional circuit is pretty easily done because the wires can be run along the floor joist sides. I can tell by the floor joist bridging (small joist bracing boards) that your house is probably from the1950s to 70's, so it was likely they only gave it one or two 15 amp lighting/outlet circuits to begin with.
