Those two were the only reason I would watch Laverne and Shirley.

I can't remember what I had for lunch yesterday, but the minute I read the title of this video, I broke out singing it, even though it's probably been 25 years since I last heard it. I love Lenny & Squiggy! I had the same reaction when I saw the "Night After Night" video last week.

I came to KZbin to find some comfort in old episodes after the sad news of the loss of Penny Marshall today. I found this vid, and something about this song just tickles me. I'm laughing my mascara off at this and can't stop! Best earworm ever- just what I needed at the end of this difficult day.

The amp in front of the piano is a 70s Yamaha. These shows were terrible at communicating they were actually in the fifties. Look at the hair of the guys in the band. It's like they're in Bread.

What year is this supposed to be taking place, exactly? Lenny and Squiggy are obviously mid-1960s caricatures, but the background players aren't even trying. They all look like they're from 1980. This sort of sloppy inattention to period detail was typical of both LAVERNE & SHIRLEY and late-period HAPPY DAYS.
