In this video I'll be trying out the Lavvu Mod By ‪@bushcraftspainsl‬ for the first time, after purchasing it around 2 years ago.
I'll also be using the Ridge-Pi by ‪@RoughTimba‬ again this is the first use after 2 years of owning.

I like the look of bushcraft Spain but have seen mixed reviews my friend bought one and the stitching was awful for the money. And another guy loved his one. Look forward to seeing how it fairs 👍

Ah I haven't heard anything negative "apart from they're price's" 🥵 and I'd agree. I've had this in storage for around 2 & half years now and everything looked good, no damage to the stitching noticed. Thanks for commenting 🏕️

The centre section is nearly 3 times the price I payed for my size 1 lavvu 😟👍🏻

I have got one of those, surprisingly it is not as strong as the Lavvu itself, I have managed to tear a grommet out of it, and several of the buttons have come off. Notwithstanding that it is a good piece of kit and for me I think the repairs give it character. I originally had a couple of those Rough Timba thingies, but they broke so I have since found a similar replacement. Let us put it this way, I give my kit a hard time.

I have never bothered to waterproof my Lavvu though, it has never needed it and it has withstood some torrential downpours as well, the material just swells and keeps the water on the outside.

Thanks for letting me know, I have no plans on using it right now though. Had it for over 2yrs & that was the first time I'd attempted to even put it up. Yeah I just waterproofed that size 1 as a precaution as we were going to be using it 24/7. The permanent size 3 I currently use has not had any waterproofing and has been great. Bleached a little in the sun but that's about it. Thanks for commenting 🏕️
