He’s not the hero. He’s a victim who became a monster. Acrually he was always a monster, but he was genuinely victimized.however, being a monster he had to take revenge on the world and became fsr worse than the people who killed his family. He deserved to die.

Clyde is one of the worst ppl in the world you could ever screw over. As everyone in this movie learned the hard way. Ultimately feel bad for his family, after watching that scene once I skip it everytime now, that’s why guns are so important so if scumbags break into your house like that, you can gun them down. All about protecting the family & avoid having your family raped & or murdered
@KrazzeeKane
@KrazzeeKane 9 ай бұрын
@scotthill1600 you do realize a gun wouldn't have helped Clyde, right? He was instantly ambushed upon opening the door--unless he greets every delivery person with a gun in their face, he wouldn't have had a chance to use it before he was knocked down and tied up. A gun won't always save you, life doesn't always go the way you plan and give you a chance, it is brutal. Everyone wants to think they are tough but a gun isn't a 100% chance of safety.
@scotthill1600

@@KrazzeeKane camera on all my doors does. Literally don’t even open the door, talk through the camera & have a big ass German Shepard & a gun. Good luck to those 2 guys, watch them leave my property on the cameras or the cops can come get them to & with the no trespassing signs, verbal warning & footage I’ll 100% press charges if possible. They kick down a door or window & are catching bullets & again the cops can come get them. I like my chances, could go on & on about how I minimize my chances of being ambushed, but it could always happen. Staying vigilant unless I’m in a secured structure is worth it in my eyes. Have done it for so long it just comes naturally at this point, everything can be fine 999 times & it only takes 1 bad scenario for something like this to happen. so stay vigilant or increase the odds of something like this happening, cold world. & in 10 years of living where I live, have only ever had the neighbors come introduce themselves when they moved in & delivery drivers come to the door unannounced, 99% of delivery drivers I don’t open the door for & the 1% who do is bc I know they’re coming & have to sign. Anybody else is announced & invited that’s came in 10 years, so yeah somebody comes uninvited I get multiple alerts on my phone which is always with me & the doors never getting opened, cops can deal with you or you can leave

Great reaction. The whole point that Clyde is trying to teach is simple. Do NOT make deals with guilty people. ESPECIALLY when you know that they are the main culprit. If they had just said, "No" to the mattress deal, none of this could've happened. Clyde would be in the main block, so under 24/7 surveillance. The INSTANT they make that 1st deal, his plan is able to work. They had mountains of evidence about him. But they took the easy route out. As to the levels he is intending to go to break the system. He says he is going to go; "Full Klaus Mann." That is SCARY. Klaus Mann is one of the greatest writers on methods of war. Not just battlefield war. FULL war. Destroying a way of life, not just an army. We are talking levels such as destroying food supplies, water supplies, transportation, medical places & supplies, tainting supplies that aren't destroyed. He is going FULL OUT DESTROY mode!!!

So my take on why this ending is so bad is: it was the lawyers decision that was ultimately the cataclyst for Clyde to attack the system. And not ONLY did the lawyer not learn anything, he got rewarded with a promotion. Also, if the lawyer isn't charged with murder, he is undoubtedly acessory to murder/suicide for knowingly putting an explosive in the cell. And destruction of government property. Which would be EASILY proven in any court. But nothing happens about that. And somehow Jamie Foxx's character is the hero? For starting the onslaught that his decision caused? Clyde could have sought out revenge if they had lost the case sure. But i doubt it would involve everyone and not just the 2 criminals because then they'd only have the circumstantial evidence and he would be able to continue his life however he wanted. May even go on acting as the unsung hero in future movies. But then we'd have completely different movie wouldn't we. The ending seriously took what could have been one of the all-time greatest movies ever, to being just great. Morally, we all know Clyde did cross a line. But, "lessons not learned in blood are soon forgotten". And everyone rational person is rooting for Clyde here. They say hell hath no fury like a women scorned. Clyde "hold my beer."

I was thinking it was ok until he offed the subordinates in their cars. There was no going back from that. I was initially thinking Clyde could have been something like The Punisher because of his skills. I believe Nick would have been a better lawyer after all that. As much as I like Jamie Fox, he wasn't convincing in the end. Bruce McGille (Jonas) did a great job and Gerard Butler killed this role.

Camera and sound much better and I'm glad because this is such a fantastic movie. Gerard Butler is hit or miss but this era of films for him like 300, How to Train Your Dragon and Olympus has fallen are all great. This has such a great story and twist at the end. Clyde was ok bing in that cell while it was burning "A choice he would have to live with for the rest of his life." At this point, the student had LEARNED from the Teacher. Any further "Lessons" were unneeded, as the STUDENT had finally "Learned" the lesson, but had finally "Learned" the "Lesson" so well that he was planning and "playing" several moves ahead. THAT is what Clyde had wanted to TEACH - not planning and playing several moves ahead part, but the importance of JUSTICE, not just "winning" at the expense of "justice." When the "Student" learned this, Clyde was okay with dying. He had already been wanting to be dead for 10 years, he just had to deal with a few things first. I'm glad you liked it. Fun fact: the man who was holding the Bible when Nick was being sworn in was the real mayor of Philadelphia at the time, Michael Nutter. Here's him performing "Rapper's Delight" at his inaugural celebration! He's a very cool dude! kzbin.info/www/bejne/nYu3qIeVbtV1h6c Also, Philadelphia is a very old city in the US anyway, but there are tons of old ass tunnels, prohibition era speakeasy underground haunts, and abandoned subways tunnels all over there, so it's possible for determined people, especially if they know their way around a schematic to pull some shenanigans, theoretically anyway. Fortunately, most of the tunnels have been destroyed, are sealed off or being redone for new subway lines. Any still in existence are probably under heavy surveillance.

One of the things that really makes me angry is that Nick calls the people Clyde murdered innocent. These so-called innocent people supported Nick's decision to make a deal with Darby even though they KNEW he was a psychopathic murderer. They deserved to die.

Fact: If a man could, he would absolutely do this if someone hurt his family, if he could, people are just afraid to admit it because "it's mean" or some shit. Don't fuck with a man's woman and child.

Bro, just suggesting an idea, because it was amusing to see a marine tank watching mean girls with the kid. So maybe Maam can torture you with chickflicks and you will be free to express your lack interest. Just an idea.🤷🏾‍♂️ Love from India. ❤🤘🏾🙏🏾😭

This ending is fucking trash. Sheldon was too damn good to be killed like that. Sheldon should have won, I could have written a pretty compelling ending. I do have a few ideas too.

I'd like to request you guys up the movie volume to at least something close to your mic volume (on future reactions). If I turn up my volume just enough to barely hear the movie, when you guys talk it blows my eardrums out.

Fox ruined the ending. If it wasn’t for his bs ego, Clyde would have won. Fox refused to let his character lose.
