Fun fact: According to the prices on their official website, Del Frisco's charges $67.20 for a porterhouse steak (seared, medium rare), $21.00 for lobster macaroni and cheese and $15.00 for steamed asparagus which totals out to $103.95. Nick asks the waiter to put himself down for 30% ($32.05) which brings the grand total up to $136 even.

The lawyer was still alive but would've been dead after 1:15 pm. Later scenes showed that it took them 15 minutes from the police dept to the lawyer's location. Since his lunch was 8 minutes late, Clyde took his time in telling them, so it took them until 1:30 to arrive in the location.

Clyde had no sympathy for Reynolds because he was the one who got the evidence necessary to convict Darby thrown out of court forcing nick to the negotiating table. I think even if his lunch came on time and Reynolds survived Clyde would still kill him later.

It also shows that ego is what also got the lawyer killed because the warden purposely delayed the delivery by making them go through the scanner twice while saying “these prisoners don’t tell us what to do, we tell them”. Meanwhile Nick was trying to get the food to him quickly, and he even said “we’re on his time” (meaning Clyde’s) So basically the warden was partially to blame

It could've been the perfect movie except for the god-awful ending. The annoying thing is Clyde was actually supposed to win in the original script and Nick was killed off. But Jamie Foxx didn't like this unfortunately, so they changed it.

It's for movie effects. Many sounds are exaggerated in movies, like when a sword comes out of a leather scabbard but it still sounds metal on metal, even guns sounding like rifles, it is all there to make the audience aware of the action not necessarily accuracy, if this were a properly cocked asparagus it would sound like a sloppy bj.

Best scene in the entire film!!!! I love how he stares at the peice of asperagus while chewing it & savoring the taste knowing it might be the very last time he ever eats it ever again!!!! Best steak cuts to me are : 1# Ribeye (Tomahawk , Bone In , Boneless , it honestly doesn't matter) 2# Porterhouse & T Bone they're almost the exact same depending on who cuts it for u) 3# NY Strip or Top Sirloin (its still got sections of the rib cap on it if u know what that is) 4# Chuck Steak ( a little more fatty & u gotta tenderize the shit out of it but it still has the same exact flavor as the others) 5# Tenderloin (everyone loves it but it has the least amount of flavor because it has no fat or bone so its the only steak that actually requires steak sauce which u don't need on the others if u actually know how to cook)

tenderloin doesn't require sauce, just proper seasoning. it's a thick ass cut so there's really no risk of over seasoning. you want them to look more white than red from the coarse salt
