Law - never heard of it: Russia violates its own legislation, sending HIV-positive men to war

Russia is in fifth place in the world in terms of the rate of spread of HIV infection. Such data for the year 2021 was published by the German company 'Statista'. The Federation accounted for about 4% of the 1.5 million cases detected worldwide last year. At the same time, the Ministry of Health of the aggressor country called such information, quoting, 'another propaganda provocation directed against the country. And more and more information appears on social media that HIV-infected people end up on the frontline in Ukraine, contrary to Russian legislation. More details - learn in our report.

Additionally, one can become HIV positive through a cut on a hand in contact with positive blood or a positive wounded soldier bleeding onto a stretcher that is not then sterilized. Wound to wound is as likely as intercourse (which apparently happens all the time too) or IV drug use (which also happens all the time-propofol pain killers used recreationally) Soon half the Russian military will be HIV positive. They would no doubt be given a 2-3 month supply (the meds don't need special storage requirements, so the individual could carry them in their kit-bag). Though I would think in Russia's case, they don't care. They'd rather see HIV+ soldiers die on the battlefield than for the state to have to supply them with life-saving meds. This is just another means by which Russia can rid itself of 'undesirables'. What better way than to use them as cannon fodder?! (That's rhetorical sarcasm BTW.)

During the Wagner Group visits to prisons to coerce/bribe convicts into joining as mercenaries, they established a separate unit specifically for HIV+ convicts and those with TB. The separate unit was necessary because the convicts and other Wagner mercenaries didn't want the infected recruits anywhere near them! Wagner were so desperate for recruits that they took on the infected convicts. If anyone from this unit is wounded, medics won't treat them. That Russia conscripts HIV+ people, in breach of their own laws does not surprise anyone. There isn't anyone that Russia and Wagner won't accept, regardless of their age or health status.
