It's the same thing like you said esho funi. When you change, your environment reflects it. It's really you who changes & you will know that by how you respond to the same problems. When you have a different response, you'll know you changed. ✌🏻❤️

Natalie Osorio Hi Law of Attraction only talking about the principle of oneness of self an environment.... Nichiren Buddhism calls this principle Esho Funi.......
@GenieHermoso
@GenieHermoso 3 жыл бұрын
Natalie Osorio Law of Attraction talks about principles only but does not provide a practice where you can actualize what you intend. Chanting Nam Myoho Renge Kyo allows you to actualize your desires but it is more than that. It is about changing yourself from the inside out.

pratima parida Hi when we chant we are able to access a different level of mind... when we chant we access theta state when we do not chant we are in Beta state which is limited...before you chant you can intend what would it take for this problem to be solved or you can intend for the outcome you desire or be open to something better. Awesome video, your an extremely interesting and knowledgeable person. Thanks for sharing. I have chanted for 10 years, but I have always also been into Metaphysics, just a lot in the last year. I do affirmations in my head while I chant Namyo at the same time. Most people don’t realize they use the law of attraction everyday. They expect the same and that’s what they get. But It is a double side coin I am learning though: To have my Ideals manifested, I must first be willing be a channel through which the Ideals of others are manifested. Thanks for sharing, maybe my daughter will watch. She is third generation and a bit stubborn. :)

Erik Anthony Your comment manifests that how much you know nothing but the poisoning you release in the world.Chanting for 10 years??? Wow, what you have been studying? Because you are destroying the intention of the Buddha, now I can't forgive your ignorance. I will refute all the way. Since you haven't given me any answers, you have already got defeated. You must know that. Who is your leader? I will challenge him or her in Oregon. Stop chanting SGI fake manta and burn a SGI manifactured paper scroll the cult members call honzon. That paper is the home of the devils according to the Buddhism. Wake up Erik. This woman has no idea what the Daishonin Buddhism is. Without knowing, she is spreading the worst poisoning into the world. She is a victim of SGI cult but if she keeps spreading this incorrect information, I must refute this woman as well.

So this is where these new age ideas of “if you putt things into the universe it’ll come back to” is coming from. I have a few bones to pick here and there, as I think some things are purely out of your control, but overall a lot of it is true for most cases. Chaotic people cause chaos, angry people create angered situations, peaceful people know how to navigate to make peace in any situation.

Buddhism is actually more about letting go of control and directing your energy towards YOUR growth and self actualization. You can’t control what comes to you, but you CAN control how you respond. Buddhism is a practice that’s geared towards your internal work being reflected externally rather than trying to change the outside world to fit you, if that makes sense? So you do the practice and the work not because you want your circumstances to change, but because inner growth is the goal. As you grow, your external circumstances will change along with you as a byproduct of your actualization.

Nichirn Buddhism is unique.Yet the fact is that even though the gohonzon is complete,most members' lives do not adequately reflect this fact.The only solution I have discovered is to keep on renewing my determination and keep on doing self-reflection.

Radiólogo Millonario Hi consistency is key. Sincerity and willingness to learn more about process is key. Trusting the process is key. If this chant did not work, I will not chant consistently for 12 years. It will just be a waste of my time. But why would I and millions more chant this mantra daily if there is no effect? It works when you allow it to. Or it may not be the path for you. I started with 5 mins for a month then 10 mins then more..... It does not mean I have no problems. It means when I have problems I have that extra strength to surmount it. Everyone can tap into their highest level of mind but it takes work and it takes discipine. A seed cannot grow into a full grown tree if you water it today and not the next. It works when you put in the work. You do not have to believe me because you have free will and judgment. But just ask yourself, why would people continue to chant 12, 20,30,40,50 years daily if there were no benefits? Think about it:-)

Buddhism doesn't have a law of attraction. Karma is the closest thing.
@phanasahansantiporn9799
@phanasahansantiporn9799 5 жыл бұрын
Yes, Buddhism did say so 2600 years ago. Buddha said "whoever have or share the similar or same level of nature like decency, civility, nobility, virtue, idea, propensity , either good or bad, do attract the same kind since in Buddhism' words : Posessing the Equal Sila or the same level of Virtue means that they are on the same par or match or deserve to be acquainted. For example, if you are the drug-addicted, It's hardly that you would associate with the sober, clean and ambitious ones who seek to achieve professionally. Contrarily, they attract unwittingly, the same kind. The opposite is always true. Therefore if you want to change to be a new and better person. You must introspect porously what and why the causes brought you here. Hence, why you want to leave it behind, what you next goal is and how to attain your wishes by taking an upheaved actions and ones must need inner peace, gaining light and strength to take a bold actions of their lives. After making sheer decisions, ones will gradually change themselves as to get their goal and a while thereafter the completion of a turnaround. You will attract the same positive kind as a new you. Therefore, we, buddhists, are always aware of thinking, action and speech. All three must ideally and positively (negatively) be in syc for the best (worst and detrimental) and most powerful results and vice versa. This is all clearly elaborated in Buddhism's main teachings or Tripitika, being put in short here or "Law of Attraction" other than "Law of Karma" or 'Cause & Effect' = "You reap what you saw". No deity giving. All everything is down on our own continuous and relentless efforts until coming to fruition. Buddhism is a rationale based, science proven, truth and inner happiness seeking, peace encouraging, compassion and empathy as well as wisdom-advocated religion. Recommending that we better all be reading Tripitaka. It tells us what're going on in the beings' cycle of life, all in the mental, physical and spiritual plane not only for this world but also for the universe :)) I am Thai Theravada Buddhist.

The "Law" of attraction is so easy to disprove, I can't believe people still place so much credence in it. When I was 21, I was the happiest I'd yet been in my life, focusing on my future, and what steps I would take next, then BAM I got cancer. NEVER gave cancer a thought up until then, certainly not that I would ever get it. Or how about women who get raped? I guarantee you they aren't sitting there thinking about being raped every day, drawing that into their lives. There are MANY factors that affect our lives and our destinies, for lack of a better word, and to think that human consciousness is the only one, or even the main one, that can change things in our lives is ludicrous. I'm a Buddhist, and although we do place a lot of importance on thoughts, we certainly don't take it to the level of the laughable "Law" of attraction, which really isn't a law at all. I've heard physicists talk about how quantum mechanics has been hijacked by new-age people who want to peddle their books or create their own little spirituality, but they say the way human consciousness has been linked to this "Law" is completely without any scientific foundation.

I agree, the LoA preachers say that the universe is always working for you and that the universe loves you and also that we create our own reality. However no plausible explanation can be offered for the bad things that happen to people in what is claimed to be a benovelent universe. Nichiren Buddhism however requires you to take responsibility for your actions and does not claim that bad things will not happen. Instead it says that through practice one can overcome obstacles in one's life but that first involves an inner change. It also does not claim to be a magical practice as one is required to be rational and exercise caution
@GenieHermoso

True. As Nichiren Buddhists, we can change anything perceved as negative into something positive. But the Law of Attraction is really just talking about Oneness of Self and Environment. It's just that some practitioners of that focus on positive thinking. Positive thinking is just an approach.

This is really not correct. The "law of attraction" doesn't teach the oneness of self and environment. Unlike in Buddhism, they remain two separate things. Therefore the relationship between the self and the environment remains somewhat contractual. Also, "vibration" and "frequency" have nothing to do with Buddhism or with ichinen sanzen. They are pseudoscientific ideas. From what I see, it looks like the "law of attraction" is just an elaborate variant of "positive thinking", which is essentially superficial. The Lotus Sutra and Nichiren Buddhism are about profound changes in perception. Essential to this is the vow of the Buddha to lead all beings to enlightenment. Nam-myoho-renge-kyo is fundamentally an expression of this vow. Only when we make this vow do we truly see things clearly - that our lives and those of all beings are boundless - and find the courage and the wisdom to fulfil it. This is the core of Buddhism, but the "law of attraction" has nothing to say about it. The fact that the "law of attraction" is itself marketed as a commodity for profit shows that it is incapable of challenging the philosophical assumptions, often demeaning and exploitative, on which our late capitalist society is based.
@GenieHermoso

Actually vibration could also mean an altered state....Read Yukio Matsudo’s Nichiren Buddhism 3.0 and 3.1 where a Nichiren Buddhist studied brain waves and altered states of consciousness. He studied people who were chanting Nam Myoho Renge Kyo and took measurements using EEGs and other machines. We do go into theta state w focused chanting. Such altered states we access different aspects of our mind. And also, purpose of this video is to attract people to try out chanting... I relate it to a language people who know LOA can relate to because I got into Buddhism because of the Law of Attraction.....
@IAmRobertPersson
@IAmRobertPersson 3 жыл бұрын
@@GenieHermoso Yukio Matsudo's ideas seem rather strange and are certainly at odds with the kind of very simple and down-to-earth Buddhism that the SGI promotes. While it is not exactly wrong if you chant and end up in an altered brain state, it most certainly is not the purpose of Nichiren's practice. The purpose is to have the same state of life as the Buddha, which means having the same conviction and intent as the Buddha. This is about courage, sincerity, deep empathy. These are all straightforward human qualities. This is what it means when the Lotus Sutra teaches that we are already Buddhas. It is our noble qualities at ordinary human beings that are the treasure that Buddhism promises us. When we look for "enlightenment" in exotic brain states or other esoteric experiences, what that really means is that we don't truly believe that the Buddha is the ordinary person that we are now. Buddhism is fundamentally about having unshakable confidence about who we are and about what ordinary people - both ourselves and others - are capable of. If we seek enlightenment in exotic experiences, that really means that we don't have confidence in ourselves.
@GenieHermoso
@GenieHermoso 3 жыл бұрын
It actually put the practice more grounded in this reality. It's not an exotic state, it's physiological. When people meditate including chanting Nam Myoho Renge Kyo... we are able to access other levels of our minds. The theta state has been linked to ability to access intuition, wisdom, healing. Everybody can access this altered states through meditation which includes chanting Nam Myoho Renge Kyo. Since we live in this reality, we have to use reference points in this reality. A Buddha is someone who is aware of the inner workings of life and of reality. I am a healthcare worker and I always relate the practice to science. I find that it is amazing because Shakyamuni and Nichiren already knew about this 2,000 and 700 years ago respectively. If anything, science has verified that chanting and meditating actually has a physical effect/physiological effect on our brains. As Nichiren Buddhists, we should rejoice that science has confirmed this. As Nichiren Buddhists, we should investigate things on or own. The superiority of any teaching is that it will withstand scrutiny. Josei Toda has mentioned this. I find it so amazing too that 2,000 years ago, Shakyamuni already knew about the subconscious mind. Western Science has only started investigating this and have been studying this for just over 100 years. Think about it, we are verifying Shakyamuni and Nichiren's teachings using observation, using science, using facts! These men were way beyond their years. And also, I have more respect for people who follow a different spiritual path..... I have friends that are non-Buddhists but are very spiritual and I have so much deep respect for them. The path may be different but the destination is the same-- Enlightenment. As Nichiren Buddhists, we should be more open-minded. We should study, we should investigate. We should never take things at face value. We should always seek out the truth.

@@GenieHermoso Genie, reading your comment makes me feel sad because you seem to be missing out on so much. I don't know if you have heard of Procrustes. In Greek mythology he was a blacksmith who used to cut off people's legs to make them fit into an iron bed. That is what you are doing with Buddhism. You are deeply attached to this law of attraction stuff and as a result you try to reduce Buddhism to fit and end up completely missing the point. [NEW PARAGRAPH] Nichiren writes: "The purpose of the appearance in this world of Shakyamuni Buddha, the lord of teachings, lies in his behavior as a human being." The scholar Hajime Nakajima, in his biography of Shakyamuni, "Gotama Buddha", writes that in his manner of interacting with people he was "welcoming and hospitable, friendly in speech, happy to see others, always pleasant and bright, and eager to greet others before they greet him". In other words Nichiren says that this manner of behaviour on the part of Shakyamuni was the essence of being a Buddha and not just a side-effect. It has nothing to do with theta waves and everything to do with sincerity, a basic human quality. You speak of the principle of ichinen sanzen, or three thousand worlds in a single moment of life. This behaviour of Shakyamuni is ichinen sanzen in action as it applies to manifesting the state of life of a Buddha. The inner experience, the earnest intent, and the outward behaviour are all inseparable and are all essential aspects of the state of Buddha. You seem to think that Buddhahood is an altered state of consciousness that we experience when we chant, but what Nichiren is saying is that our actions that express our respect for others and our confidence that they are inherently Buddhas are also Buddha. The state of Buddha that we manifest when we chant with earnest and (at least in some very basic way) "correct" faith is no different to the state of Buddha we manifest when we take action in society as Buddhas. And what is crucial in these social interactions are things like sincerity, courage, empathy and so on. Not theta waves. And the same applies when we chant. If we chant with those qualities in our hearts, expressing them as clear prayers or determinations (which from the point of view of Nichiren Buddhism are the same thing), then we advance. If we chant thinking that it is a kind of mind-altering drug, we simply won't find those qualities. In part this is because, if we do that, we are just trying to look after ourselves and deferring thinking about others for a later time. [NEW PARAGRAPH] You talk about Buddhism according with science, but that is useless if our ideas on such a relationship are philosophically flawed. You talk about intuition, but intuition means many different kinds of experience. It requires intuition to understand something even as seemingly simple as Euclid's first axiom: that if two things are each equal to a third thing, then those two things equal to each other. I personally agree with the mathematical physicist Roger Penrose that intuition is a function of consciousness and that a new physics, a physics that will change our understanding of reality as profoundly as special relativity did early in the last century, a physics that has not yet been developed, will be needed for us to be able to get to grips scientifically with the question of consciousness and the powers of intuition it gives us. Buddhism is based on some extraordinarily bold intuitive claims. Saying that these are caused by certain kinds of brainwaves seems really reductive and out of step with where science and philosophy of mind are heading. But more than that, you seem to have completely missed the most important intuition related to the practice of Buddhism, that of the oneness of mentor and disciple united, even if physically or temporally separated, by a shared vow to enable all people to become Buddhas. Again, this connection is about a meeting of minds on a very human level. [NEW PARAGRAPH] My impression is that you have paid more attention to your reading about the law of attraction and the pseudoscience of that man you mentioned in your previous comment than you have to studying the writings of Nichiren and of Daisaku Ikeda with the intention of truly understanding what drives them and making their spirit your own. In other words your understanding of Buddhism, as well as being skewed, is basically theoretical. I should also point out the ridiculousness of that man's attempt to syncretise the mutually incompatible doctrines and attitudes of the various Nichiren schools. For instance most Nichiren schools say that the eternal Buddha who appears in the Lotus Sutra is either the person Shakyamuni or the person Nichiren, thus making that person a special being. The SGI, on the other hand, says that the eternal Buddha is the ordinary human being. So which view is true to Nichiren's intent? Nichiren says: "A common mortal is an entity of the three bodies, and a true Buddha. A Buddha is a function of the three bodies, and a provisional Buddha." It's pretty obvious. Those schools that say that Shakyamuni is a special being demean the ordinary human being, and this becomes obvious when you look at the social and financial relationships of the laity and clergy of such schools. [NEW PARAGRAPH] At some point in your life when you meet a truly daunting and formidable challenge, you will find that that theoretical framework of understanding won't be enough. It is the people for whom the oneness of mentor and disciple is a clear and present reality in their own lives who win through in such circumstances. So just to repeat the quote I started with: "The purpose of the appearance in this world of Shakyamuni Buddha, the lord of teachings, lies in his behavior as a human being." I strongly urge you to study and to ask for help from your local SGI leaders so that you can understand and engrave this one sentence in the depths of your life. If you do that you will come to experience ever more strongly a happiness in your life that you never even dreamed of before.
