I think Law's backstory is sadder than Robin's because when they both experienced their tragedies, Robin got mercy from Aokiji, while Law was shown no mercy and had to hide under corpses to survive.

I'm almost certain that part of Law's backstory was based on the war hero from my country. I may be reaching but hear me out: Marek Edelman was a young teenager when Warsaw Getto Uprising happened in 1943. The Jews in the Getto decided to fight back. Only a couple have survived and Marek Edelman along with two others escaped under the dead bodies. The guy survived WWII and later on became a heart surgeon. Like I know there is a lot of differences but it is also very similar (In school we read the book where he is interview about his life) Oda also takes inspiration from different places so...

I still argue Brook’s backstory is the most tragic. But that’s because being isolated from everyone I love is something I partially have gone through, so I can feel that on a personal level. I can’t feel the horrors of what Law or Robin have suffered through. Just not at the same level. So why they’re arguably worse, I still say my man Brook had it worse.

6:50 yeah. mma fighters throw straight left punches too. like... you're not gonna beat a strong opponent in one attack. you need to build dmg up on them and then use your finisher(that's why it's called a finisher). usually the big moves have more openings so you need the enemy to be at a lower health threshold (like catching pokemon). unless you have an attack that will one hit the other person(masterball) you can't just win the fight(catch the pokemon)

p.s. also when fighting someone that you don't know what their moveset is you use the basic attacks to get an understanding of their fighting style. once you figure out how they fight then you can use specific moves to win. like when he fought enel in skypeia dude used a golden ball to be able to hit him or water luffy against croc.
