Great video! Super helpful. I was wondering, what do you do when it comes to writing law essays in exams? More specifically engaging with academic literature to help form your argument. So for example, if you had a closed book exam for property law relating to proprietary estoppel how would you memorise what the academic(s) said and weave it into your essay kinda thing?

hi J Wong!! amazing hair! I'm going to law school this fall. Just wondering how fast you can type to take notes during classes? thank you!

I can type 60WPM with long gel nails but can type faster without them. I have classmates who type way slower than me and managed to take effective notes in class without any problems. You can also download note taking apps that record while you create the document so you can go back line by line to hear what you missed but that is only helpful if your professor allows you to record lectures.

This helped a lot THANK YOU!! How about memorising cases and principles/rules of the cases?
@imsowong_
@imsowong_ 7 жыл бұрын
I would group all the case names together under whatever the topic is. For example, I would title a page Nuisance and then write a list of all the cases 1.) Sturges v. Bridgeman 2.) Hunter v. Canary Wharf Ltd 3. Miller v Jackson 4.) Haslem v. Lockwood, etc..... Then I would memorize a list of name and verbally talk about the facts of each case, the principles, and the holding. Sometimes the holdings I would memorize by assigning a keyword. So for Sturges v. Bridgeman I would just remember came to the nuisance" and then remember to apply that exact sentence to the exam so the examiners know exactly what you are talking about.
