Hi Everyone!
Back with another quick little notes organizational video! Thank you all for the support of my last two law school related videos, I never realized how many students out there were looking for study tips and online resources and I'm glad I could shed some light on how to organize course notes.

Hi J! Could you do a video on tackling and planning on doing well for long coursework assignments like a dissertation or independent study?

I am starting a course with a similar format and when you say create a binder for finals I was a bit curious. Do you use the time given near finals week to prepare that binder or are you beginning it prior? Also is it something that I can fit time in for each class during a semester? Did you run into any issues with managing study time?If you could do a video on that it would be helpful.

I started from the beginning to organize all the loose leaf paper. I would do the readings prior to class and would outline/summarize in the margins in preparation for each class. So it was pretty much organizing as I go. I didn't really run into any trouble for study time but I could probs do a vid on how I organize/ prioritize my study time. Thanks for watching! :)

i love this!!! thank you for taking the time to show us how you pre-read. its a great study tool. it seems like you read your texbook, condensed the large volume of information using the irac highlight color coding system. hard work in the beginning to organize and paid off well for comprehensive final exams. am i right?

Awesome video! I have a bit of a problem, I'm quiteeee behind in my readings for my classes and I'm struggling to catch up cause seems to take me a while to read then make an outline etc and I'm stressing cause I've also got to do assessments that are due in a weeks time and then after that study for up coming exams and just wondering if u have any tips?? Thanks :)

If you're super behind don't catch up just keep going and do the next set of readings. If you are slightly behind just read and hilight then outline later after you catch up. Put your assignment as priority and spread the research/writing/citations throughout the week to work on it little by little. Then go back later to the readings you skipped or hilighted and finish your outline.

+J WONG (imsowong) thank you, I think I really do need to mainly focus on these assessments, but the only thing that worries me is that I will focus most if not all my attention on my assessments then once I handed in all my assessments then all I have is exams (which 2 of them are worth 50% 😱😭) is what to do then as I have to try study for two open book one closed book but have to do alll my readings.. Idk I'm stressing and it seems to take me a while to read and outline which suckssss...

yeah I've been there before, just try and prioritize based on what you think is your strongest subject. Also doing a bit of calculation helps to prioritize too. See what classes are weighed more and would affect your overall grade average and put more effort into that course. That's not saying to neglect the other classes but just helps with prioritizing what you need to spend more time on and would help you logically time manage your study/ work schedule. Also, don't be afraid to ask for help and divide class notes with your classmates or go to the professor and ask for guidance on what areas to focus on so you don't waste time on useless topics. - hope you all the best!
