Howard, for whatever his faults may be, is the bigger man. He knew Jimmy was screwing with him, damaging his car, embarrassing him in public, and yet he was still empathetic. His therapy has obviously helped him considerably.

Howard is kind of a putz, and Jimmy is kind of right. Howard is being condescending in offering the job because he'll never see Jimmy as his peer. Howard would just become another Chuck to Jimmy. He would have to give in and tow the line, which means giving up being Saul, if Jimmy is to join HHM. It's easy to say you'd take the sure thing, but people who make it big are a lot more like Jimmy than Howard. They gamble. He may win or he may lose everything, but that's just Saul.

@@charmingjinx9379 Jimmy might see it that way but I don’t think that’s how Howard meant it. In his view, he was righting and old wrong. IMO, Jimmy is being a dick to Howard because it’s easier than dealing with his own feelings of guilt and grief. If he didn’t want the job, he could just say so, not all of this passive aggressive nonsense.

"Hmm... No middle name." LMFAO. One of my favorite lines/moments of the whole series. It will forever blow my mind how tiny, seemingly throwaway moments like that from this show stay in my mind like diamonds. Endless love and respect to all things BCS...

@@briangonigal3974The pictures were promotional, so either camera/crew were just out of frame, or they were digitally removed, or additional pics were taken from the same angle. The judge can be seen in the background behind Kim and Jimmy kissing.

Yup. The next two episodes are, for me, probably the best "one, two" punch of the entire series. There's one other one-two punch that compares, but S5, Ep. 8-9, is for me the best pair of episodes in the history of tv. They're just that good.

The fact that Jimmy is torn up with guilt over seeing the Travel Wire guy’s family proves he’s not totally Saul yet. And then of course he puts all his guilt on poor Howard.

Yeah Howard definitely had the high ground. Jimmy is deflecting and attacking. Inside he thinks HE killed his own brother he also is worried internally about the direction he's going and probably wishes greatly he had been accepted at HHM to begin with and he's frustrated that it's being offered now. With good reason. But yeah Jimmy is in pain.

This is totally off topic but I'm having a procedure done on my lungs Moday and the Surgeon's name is Marc Margolis. This extended hospital stay has both led me to some great BCS reations but also to Hector Salamanca himself. 😂

The funniest thing about the opening scene is how similar it was to my own marriage - I got married for legal reasons (relating to a stupid housing law) and it was all no nonsense, walk up to the magistrate with a friend for a witness, a guy in cuffs came out of the room as we were going in lmao we even went straight to work after. But regardless, we've been happily married for 13 years. Kim and Jimmy are awful for each other but I can still relate to some aspects of how their relationship is portrayed. Everybody's different.

Sidenote I'm really proud of Howard walking away from Jimmy in that last scene. It's clear therapy helped him see that Jimmy was lashing out, and he chose to let him vent without letting any of what he said get under his skin. That's some real mental fortitude right there. It's crazy how I went from really not liking Howard to respecting the hell out of him.

I don't know how far you are now you might even be done at this point LOL but I remember the feeling at the end of season 4 of Breaking Bad where I'm like how can I get worse there's another season but how can things get worse ? And that's the same feeling at this part of the Season where it's like oh God how much worse can it even get LOL

As much as I loved that scene of Gus McGyver-ing that delayed trigger for his arson and then the classic shot of him being too Damm cool to look at the explosion, one thing about that sequence has always bugged me: why does a fast-food joint even have a whole intact chicken carcass in its freezer?

So... remember Gus explaining how his chicken and ingredients are never frozen? He chills them only to keep it tasting fresh. They would likely cut up whole chickens at the restaurant as well. To keep that fresh taste. Now the only question is cold enough to be frozen. But he just needed to turn the fridge on site all the way up at 10pm or whatever and come back at 2am or 3am and the thing could be pretty frozen solid.

@@eliemosesdo you have time for a pre-season 6 stream? I know you are busy, but if you don’t please make some season 6 predictions. Typical predictions: What are the fates of everyone that we don’t see in BB (Kim, Nacho, Lyle 😅, etc)? Any teams ups you like to see? Which characters from BB or early BCS need to make a reappearance for the final season (including flashbacks so you can include those that have passed)? Any plotholes or story threads that need to still be tied up? Has Jimmy fully transformed into Saul (matter of opinion - you can tell from the comments everyone has a slightly different opinion of when he switches over) of what else do you think needs to happen in order for him to truly become Saul?
