'Breasia Was a Truthteller': Prosecutor Says 10-Year-Old Girl's Honesty Played Role in Her Murder

In the state's closing argument, prosecutor Elizabeth O’Donnell claimed the personality of 10-year-old Breasia Terrell may have played a role in her death on July 10, 2020. Henry Dinkins is accused of murdering Terrell. Her remains were found by fishermen in March 2021. "Breasia was a truth-teller. She was a child that would tell the truth no matter what," O' Donnell said. Dinkins is Terrell's half-brother's father.

The prosecutor was amazing. I understand why she needed the stepmoms testimony but I do wish that she would have been charged as well. At any point the stepmom had the opportunity to save Breasia. She chose not to. In the video of the initial cop call, the stepmom didn’t bother to help look bc she knew Breasia wasn’t there, nor did she pull the cop aside and tell him what happened. In fact, she was at first on Dinkin’s side and was mad at their insinuation of Dinkin’s guilt when she knew for herself that he was.

I know exactly what you mean. I had the same questions. Little Boy was in the living room with girlfriend and specifically said he was playing gta. Henry is in the bedroom with Bre playing "the jumping game" Little kids especially 8yrs old know exactly what video games are being played. However, the jumping game is the excuse adults use to explain when their kids accidentally catch them doing something. I used that when my son walked in on me and his dad and that was 20yrs ago.

I can’t understand why if the woman woke up and found that her man and Breasia were gone out of the apartment, why didn’t she call Breasia’s mom from her man’s phone that she noticed he’d left behind. Instead of sitting in the dark waiting on him to come back. Had she called when she first noticed they were gone, Breasia’s mom could have possibly been there when he came back into that apartment, at that point Breasia was still alive, standing outside that car. As a woman I just don’t get why she was unable to discern the magnitude of what was transpiring. It was her spirit that woke her up! I just wish for Breasia’s sake that she would have listened to her intuition and been more proactive in trying to help save this baby. My heart breaks for Breasia💔 May she Rest In Peace❤️🕊️🙏🏾

Because he is supposed to register his address due to his SA conviction. He didn't register and didn't want the cop to know he lived there and that's why he said it was a friend.
