YSL Defense Attorney Calls for Mistrial After Witness Speaks on His Client

YSL defense attorney Doug Weinstein immediately called for a mistrial after a retired detective spoke about his client, Yak Gotti. The state showed a picture of Deamonte Kendrick standing on top of YFN Lucci's car. The witness apparently said Kendrick was just released from prison at that time of the photo. "This is bad character evidence that came in," Weinstein said.

What happened after this was insane. Dennis just single-handedly torpedoed what little was left of the state's case. The star "Operation Planters" witness gets himself thrown out, his testimony stricken, today's exhibits removed, and he will not be allowed back to testify again. The judge even wanted to call him back to admonish him. This trial becomes more of a joke with each passing day. 🤣🤣

She really, *really*, wanted to admonish him as well, and asked the defence if they wanted her to do so, but they said that it wasn't necessary! 🤣 All of his testimony and the exhibits introduced through him today are gone, and the court is seizing the jurors notes, like with Woody. He can't be called again either.

He pointed out that Yak Gotti stood on that car and also stated "that was when he had just gotten out of prison" he stated it in front of the jury loud n clear enough for them to hear. That gives reference to bad character on Yak Gotti,it should have been a mistrial every detective knows better than that.

The judge was *extremely* angry about it afterwards, and ruled out all of his testimony from today. He is not allowed to be called again either, as a result of his behaviour.
