I usually stand behind dispatchers that get hate in the internet for doing what they're trained to do and not working off emotions, but that dispatcher was a complete failure. The caller was clear and concise. A dispatcher, of all people, shouldn't have had so many issues understanding what was being conveyed.

Am I the only one who kept thinking why the detective didn’t ask him why he didn’t just tell her about his financial situation? I guess it was because he was too embarrassed to just tell her the truth, but it would have been satisfying to hear him say it, especially for the family. Regardless, the mere fact that his immediate thought is to buy a baseball bat instead (and ahead of time), says all I need to know about him. It’s unbelievable the kind of people out there nowadays!!! Deepest condolences to the family, just heartbreaking 💔

I don't agree with the assessment of the narrator at 27:10. The officer continues to treat the perp with respect and some sympathy. I also don't know why the narrator is accusing the perp of being robotic and seeming not to care while he is reciting the tragic events. I have seen many such confessions, and his tone is typical and expected. This person didn't confess and then recant, as many murderers do. He confessed and went through the entire legal process without attempting to get off or a reduced sentence at trial.
