What are you advertising? The mailer doesn't say. Do you mow? Do you fertilize? It has a name and a guarantee. I would list services provided so you aren't wasting your time with bad leads.

Tyler Kesecker Hi, Tyler. I'm actually vague on the post card on purpose. You're right, I do have multiple people call asking for fertilization and weed control, even though that's a service we don't offer. However, once I have them on the phone, the client is usually more than happy to get an estimate for lawn mowing... and we land many sales like this. I think we would never get those calls if I listed we were strictly a mowing company. I have found that being a little vague in the card gets the phone to ring better. If you haven't already, check into to see if you have any buddies or other outfits (not competition) that do the aspects you do not. I am starting that journey this season and will be offering these services, but they will be assigned to my subcontracted outfit that has all the licensing and lot to get the job done. Thanks for making this video! It gives us a lot to think about when making up our own styles of hangers.

Do you have issues with people an solicitations in their neighborhoods? Most around here have a sign saying no solicitation. I suppose just dropping it in the paper mailbox good enough? Also wondered how many people see it when they go in and out of the garage?

We will be doing the same thing this year! I'm planning on putting on my running shoes and going on a number of "long runs" to distribute them door to door in our target area. Plus others in my family want to help also. The rubber band idea is epic for me!!! I love it when you discover an awesome idea like that! - It really gets you excited! Last year I had a full time job as a Design Engineer and we maxed out quick on how many lawns that we could do ("we" meaning me and one of my two teenage sons which took turns coming with me evenings for weeding&blowing). I'm planning on being full time this year and excited about doing some marketing and growing, etc.

You had those post card professionally made at what company? They look real nice front and back. I'm looking into having so made for this upcoming season but, I only had business cards made from Vista Print and I'm not sure if they can make that kind of quality post card. Any suggestions thanks

What do you think about mowing a standard size 1/4 acre lot, for $80/mth every week 6 moths out of the year, and same price every other week the other 6 months of the year? This seems to work out good for my buddy. Some people ask why the same prices during the biweekly months. He tells them thats how he can keep their summer months pricing low.

The printer or a graphic artist for another fee? How much?
