I'm growing F. ovina in N. California, going on to the 2nd Summer with it. Right now it's raging with seed-heads! So beautiful. I'd never been a lawn person. The ground was not properly prepared, I confess. It seemed overwhelming and my body would not be able to do the work to accomplish that anyway. I got as many weeds out as I could, raked out millions of burr-clover seeds, and scattered sheep fescue seed. It's nowhere near as pretty as your professional work, but the stuff in HARDY! Lots of ladybugs are climbing around in the grass it this Spring. Always welcome visitors.
