Your childish behavior in tearing up the chain saw and generally acting and talking the fool detracts from task at hand. From the looks of it, that house was built between 1920 and 1950. It's a standard pier and beam construction, asbestos tiles (they're NOT the "bad stuff". Just don't grind them up and snort them). I suspect that the house would be cheaper to repair than to replace. Rotten windows, etc, aren't a big deal. Anyone buying the house _now_ would be replacing the windows with double pane, they'd be pulling the inside wallboard down to insulate and replace plumbing, etc. The big thing to look out for is if the roof-line is sagging. If it isn't the roof framing is still intact (likely). All in all, I'd call it a "Home to buy and renovate over 6 months while you wait out your current lease" Just negotiate the price down accordingly. I forgot to add - great job. You put in an enormous effort, and it looks so different you can't even put an amount on it.

Umm… Asbestos is asbestos is asbestos - it’s ALL the “bad” stuff. There is no difference. In solid form, as long as it’s not disturbed, it’s somewhat safe to work with, BUT you have got to know what you’re doing. If you break it, minuscule particles become airborne. Literally all you gotta do is breath near it and it’s in your lungs. You don’t have to grind it up and snort it - Who told you that load of crap?!? Man, have you never seen anyone die of asbestosis/mesothelioma?! I have, too many times. Don’t downplay the seriousness in the danger of this stuff - That’s dangerous lunacy. It’s a quality building material, don’t get me wrong. It’s been used for many, many years, and still is, but it has got to be handled and installed properly and most importantly left alone. Otherwise, you might have a death wish. It’s a long, debilitating, painful cancer and an early grave that shit causes.

these are the kind of channels that need shows and/or more exposure. I miss being able to mow and care for large lawns and areas, unfortunately being stationed in another country doesn't mean i can just do this lmao. Love your content, boss.

First, I like your videos and I like it when your family is with you. In my opinion your dad had the right chainsaw. My husband logs and his brother logs and all they use are Husqvarna chainsaws. Plus they can get them serviced locally. I get it though you aren't cutting trees down everyday. I just liked it when your dad pulled out the huskie. OMG, that will teach me to comment before watching the rest of the video. I don't know what to think about that notching except Thank God that God helped you fell that right in the end. As a woman that worries and knows how the cutting of trees can go, you and your dad had my heart racing.

Man I hate seeing trees cut down. Some people plant them to reduce noise from the roads…but you are very nice to help people and the city with these lawns.

I find it amazing that you’re not injured more often from hidden objects that you’re mowing over that are covered by overgrowth and in addition to not being stung to death by bees or hornets that are hidden by overgrowth.

The bees have been there a while. You can see the honey dripping near where the bee entered. Good idea to not tap that house. You two did a great clean up!

Hi Kevin! I really appreciate what you are doing and all of the wonderful work you do. You make a difference in so many people’s lives. I wish you and your family and new baby all the best! I know I’m not a professional, but I think I would have kept more of those trees you first cut by the street. They could help prevent street noise and increase privacy. Provide shade and block winds. IMHO. Never stop Kevin! You’re the best!

I really love watching your charity videos. I cleaned up a yard full of Johnson grass and pin oaks years ago, with a hand saw and a push mower. I am disabled now, but your videos sure take me back.

This reminds me of the time I saw the house I kind of grew up in. It's really saddening to see it come from this lively place that welcomed a community to something that's pretty much abandoned. It took a long time to accept that it will never be as bright as it used to be. Other than it being satisfying, I enjoy these clean ups a lot probably because I do find myself wishing the same could be done to my childhood home.

One word - Maintenance. Clean the carb. Change the oil. Replace the spark plug. Change the filter. Lubricate the moving parts. Hope this helps.
