The ultrasonic sensors are for detecting objects, fence, wall etc. the camera detects edges. You cannot turn off camera. Hope that helps.

I use him daily on my 7000 sql lawn for 3hrs until battery is dead. No problems at all, only thing is he is getting stuck sometimes but its due to my bumpy lawn. Otherwise using it for about a month now, time will tell... My lawn never looked so good.

On the spiral mode what happens when it hits the side I have a longer narrow garden and was curious if it would work for me

I have a front and back yard that's split by my house. I wonder if the mower will go around the house (on the side walk) and pickup in the front yard??

No, but you just need to pick it up and move it to the front. I've had one of these for a while and love it. 👍
