Wow! The original building was already rip roaring when the first engines got to it and it spread fast. What a brutal scenario. Great job to all involved. I have great admiration for the men and women who run into an inferno as the rest of us are running out.

The only way that could possibly happen, would be a balloon construction house. Fire in the basement can travel through a hole that goes straight to the attic, and once it does that, the whole structure is a loss.

I can hear the urgency coming from the IC. I think the IC did a great communicating and coordinating all these resources coming at him fast! That is a bad feeling when you have multiple structures taking off!

Nature of the beast in Lawrence. Lots of close homes 3 story's and higher. Fire can spead quickly. Lawrence has had some Lu-lu's in the past. If the city could ever gets its act together. They should be staffing a extra engine and ladder.

The LFD did a great job that night ….those buildings are so close together there….it’s a wonder they saved most of the buildings there…I grew up right up the street from there
