I remember watching Lawrence Welk with my paternal grandfather. I just now found this channel. Thank you O so much for the memories.

Really nice listening to the fine, wholesome music of those golden past. I can't exchange it.

I watch The Lawrence Welk Show every Saturday on PBS. WOW! That little boy plays brilliantly. He was probably playing piano since he was about four.

Lawrence had a charming accent! I wonder what happened to that 9-year-old piano virtuoso. Dick Dale was a mellow-voiced baritone pop crooner in the Bing Crosby tradition. Great vocal harmonies by the Lennons! Those late-50s Plymouths must have been gas-guzzlers. The Welk Orchestra's performance of "Manhattan" was superb.

I wonder if pianist Robert Rue is still in the world? He'd be close to 72 or 73 years old...very possible he's around. This was a great show & for all the many years it was on TV...my family & I enjoyed it every week. Thank you for posting.

What a delight to "discover" a NEW old Welk Show!!! I was still getting used to being a whole FIVE years old (born on 1/14) when this showed aired on a frozen Winter's evening back in 1959. You are a blessing to me in sharing these memory-laden "wunnerful" times again here. Always enjoy, too, the symbolic way you share these on Saturdays!!! Just like it was in the old days!!! Thanks so much!!! ;o)

I wish I could remember the Lennon's when they were on there. I'm 58 and look forward to their appearances on the PBS episodes.

Thanks in advance for this upload. Cubbie O'Brien was the Carpenters drummer in the '70s when they would go on tour. Very cool. 😎

Thank You For Posting This Show, do you think you can upload Golden Anniversary In Show Business from 1974, next Saturday?

Lawrence had The Lennon Sisters, why didn't he keep Robert too. The little boy could have grown up on the show like Dee Dee, Peggy, Kathy and Janet. BTW Dee Dee is my favorite. I like all of them but Dee Dee is my favorite, then Peggy, then Janet, then Kathy.
