Always thought it was cool that after K1 changed their rules (to favor their posterchild Masato if we're being completely honest) that Buakaw worked hard on his hands and improved as a boxer. He didn't become Samart or anything but still impressive.

Great video! Went so smooth like Buakaw fight plan. I've already seen this fight a couple of times but your breakdown made it even more enjoyable to watch. At the same time, it was a real pleasure to see and understand Buakaw's finesse. More like these! Funny that this very day, I was trying to front kick the base of a banana tree that was already weaken by chopping. Made me realise the power of Buakaw to put the banana tree down so fast...

Woman here. Never rated Buakaw because of his looks (whatever). More due to his hard work, adaptability, focus, and stoic attitude. Totally rate his ascension in the K1, especially when they changed the rules to try to hobble him, but accept he never made himself a big deal at Lumpinee etc.
