About 20 years ago, I had a 98 GMC k2500 big block truck on 33" BFG all terrains. Stuffed it over a curb, jacking around just like that. However, instead of just checking a wheel and driving off, I de-beaded the right rear. Did I mention I was a half hour away from home, and of course, the spare was flat. Tow truck buddy hooked me up, but I was 2.5hrs late getting home to the wife. She was pleased.

If you suspect that a ball joint may be faulty in this generation of 4x4 vehicles, but you find that there is no play when checking the ball joint, it is likely not the source of your problem. This is especially true if the issue temporarily disappears after you open and close the hood. In such cases, the problem is related to the hood hinges, which require lock washers to eliminate any slack. This slack can create sounds and sensations similar to those of a bad ball joint when you hit a bump, causing those sensations to travel down the firewall to your feet. This can lead you to mistakenly believe that the ball joint is the culprit when it is not. General Motors has issued a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) addressing this issue.

For the black wrinkle paint I’ve had good luck warming the can up before painting and if you read the can it’ll tell you when you can use a heat gun to tighten up the wrinkle. Both help from getting those spots. It still just happens sometimes but the heat definitely helps

If the speedometer isn't reading the correct speed. Then, the ECM doesn't know where or when to shift. Basically, it messes up the shift points. Even installing different size tires/rims can mess the shift points up. And count the mileage incorrectly.

I cant remeber from past videos if you plan on keeping thr 60e. But, I highly recommend a Transgo hd2 kit if you keep it. Oh and definitely a Corvette servo and an upgraded 4th servo.

Summer only tires take ALL of the fun out of snow and ice!! Can relate, Lol.. Regarding the 3-4 shift, I kind of think it probably just feels different because the converter is staying locked through the shift now. OH! Also, I'm super curious about the theoretical possibility of flipping one of those transfer cases for a right side front drive in my Cayenne? Wondering if all there is to it is to make a new oil pump pickup tube to pickup oil from the new "bottom" of the case, and of course deal with moving the vent an that other plug thing... With those things handled and a clocking ring, could it work?
