Even if talaq is pronounced 1000 times in one sitting, it is considered as one and the marriage still remains. Asaduddin Owaisi and Supreme Court too is saying the same thing. Why are BJP members not understanding this and hell bent on penalizing the husband with 3 years imprisonment? As Asad rightly proposed, let there be a clause in the marriage contract that if the husband practices triple talaq in one sitting with an intent to dissolve his marriage, then he should give dowry (Mehar) 500 or 5000 times to his wife. And I would like to add, whip or give 100 lashes him in public so that rest of the men learn from it. That is called justice for Muslim women. Now, how about women of other castes and religions whose husbands have abandoned them and their children? Do they not deserve justice? Our government has cherry picked Muslim women and have kept non-muslim women at lurch. Isn't this hypocrisy?

INSTANT triple talaq (the keyword is instant ) is banned even in Islamic countries not the triple talak itself, because it was made in the Haqq/favour of women that if a man is threatening you to divorce , you have 3 chances if you guys settle the argument first time he says talaq it is ignored, if he repeats the second time and the husband and wife settle again but if he does it the 3rd time the wife has the full right to leave his toxicity as he is threatening her to divorce more than once and also has to pay for her maintenance after the divorce..hence, this IS in the FAVOUR OF WOMEN. BUT,yes people/men missued it which was not at all Islamic so even Islamic countries banned the "instant" talak which is saying "talaq" thrice without thinking over a period of time simultaneously. All BJP did is propagate it as a Islamic Sharia law fault even though it is wrong even in the eyes of Sharia, baning triple talak all together hinders the right of woman to leave the man's toxicity, Moreover if you still believe it is wrong and must be banned , look at the punishment, it is 3 years of Jail and the women still has to accept the man after he comes out, who will pay for her maintenance till then? The govt? The man from Jail? How is it helping her in any sense ? If they would have made the penalty as paying some high amount of fine to the wife it would have been way more efficient and not opposed by minorities at all. Why so much love for Muslim women suddenly? Do Hindu women never fall in this difficulty? Answer is they do too and the Hindu man has only 1 year of Jail as punishment, during this period of time too she is on her own, it would have been much better if there was uniform civil code implemented that any man who tries to divorce hastily must pay a high amount of fine. If you use logic, you will understand if you don't then cheers to the victory of oppressing minority more.
