There is a video of Modi before he became CM where he went on a TV debate and said something to the effect of "Not all Muslims are terrorists but why are all terrorists Muslims". This is equivalent of what Rahul said. Both were framed as questions and not statements so the answer could be "No this is incorrect". How is a question defamatory? Surprised that the fact that this was a question and not a statement was not even discussed in fact it was assumed that this is a statement.

Everyone is focusing on 1st part- He said why all these thieves have surname modi (similar statement)… and 2nd part he said- “IF YOU KEEP FINDING YOU WILL GET MORE (MODIS WHO ARE THEVES). Which means, all Modis are suspected to be a thief. And this interpretation is loud and clear with no ambiguity. @@Subuhi61 Defamation should not apply when a person is executing his "duty". Like defamation may be applied if an advocate wrongly defames someone on his KZbin channel, but not when he or she is practicing in court. Similarly, a soldier is not held guilty of taking the life of the enemy while fighting. Thus, how can an opposition politician be held guilty of defamation when he or she is criticizing the members of other parties in an election rally. That their duty! Having said that, everyone in public discourse or otherwise should use "civilized" language, including those in media.

Karan Thapar ji desperately tries to get the learned lawyer to say what he wants to hear. The whole world knows that he has an axe to grind against our honourable Prime Minister. Rahul Gandhi's tearing up of the 2013 bill sought to be introduced by then PM Manmohan Singh is now causing him this trouble. And all congress had to do was ask for a stay, but they haven't done this because they want to play it up and try and get sympathy wave for Rahul. So it is an election stunt by Congress. Perhaps Prashant is getting his strategies ready. Someone should investigate as to whether Hindenburg is being funded by Indian politicians. Time will tell. I think Karan Thapar Ji should stip such ridiculous interviews, which are always totally partial. As I mentioned earlier, he has an axe to grind when it comes to PM Modi. Karan Ji thinks all Indians are stupid. Many of us remain silent, but that doesn't mean this silent majority is stupid.
