hey hey kam! I’m a devout press on girlie! I use Kiss ImPress but the trick for me is to 1) always get the one with glue tabs! 2) use the kiss power flex (blue bottle) glue along w the glue tab 3) buff your nails well! 4) do it at night so it has hours to dry well 5) only use the short styles!! it helps bc they’re less likely to snag and snap on things also, welcome to NYC🤗 you look like you’re having so much journeying, exploring and trying things! 😘

I will not allow fear or doubt to hold me back. For winter gear, I recommend a North Face City Parka, it’s pretty warm and costs about $300. Amazon has coat every one bought by the brand Orolay that is also a great option and costs $100-$200 I believe. For winter boots, I have a pair of waterproof Uggs that look like the LL bean boots. There’s Sherpa inside and pretty comfortable. A fleece jacket/hoodie is also good option under wool coats if the temps dips too low and you need to stay warm. HTH

From a Floridian who lives in Chicago! For snow you need a down coat and duck boots! My fave brand is Land’s End - I have never had a warmer coat and I’ve tried them all. Also layering is everything! It takes some getting used to but in below freezing weather it makes a huge difference. Hope this helps!

When l apply my press on nails, I use the KISS PowerFlex Brush-On Nail Glue. It is an extra-strength glue and It's easier to apply too. Then I hold down my nail for 10-20 seconds. I get it from Target or they might have it on Amazon. This works way better than the glue they give you in the pack. It should work better. I do not allow fear or doubt to hold me back👏🏾👏🏾

Press-on nail tips: Prep is key! Push back cuticles (gently!) and clean cuticle line Buff nails AND etch inside of nail Clean natural nails and press ons with alcohol - NOT soap and water! You definitely need better glue, lol. Someone else suggested Poweflex, which is also what I use. *The prep takes a little effort but your nails will definitely last 2+ weeks with proper prep.

I live in the city and have lived in Chicago and I love my marc fisher boots for cute and cold and my bear paw boots for snow. Also swear by Uniqlo heat tech, scarves, and good gloves. Uniqlo also has a great park. It’s like the Canada goose jr.

I second this! Sorel boots are durable and easy to clean. They withstand the piles of salt that everyone dumps on the sidewalk.

The Kiss Impress pedicure nails stay on me for about 8 weeks and that is with showering everyday, in all sorts of shoes, with socks and without; I actually have to remove them to put on a new set, and have never lost one. That said, I've never used the finger nails; with hand washing and everything, I'm not sure how long they would last on me. Did you wipe off your nail after filing? The pedicures have a wipe that cleans the nails after filing and before nail placement. Also, I think you used oil on your cuticles after applying. Maybe wait a few hours before applying anything else that could seep under the nail? Just some ideas. Good luck in New York. I'm still use to seeing you driving around Birmingham when you to live there. But I love this adventure for you. I do a lot of walking and public transit too. Omg the hard boiled eggs brings me back when I needed a hit of protein to the start the day. I use to secretly eat it on the subway 😂 Heat tech has been my goto for a decade. And yes to scarves! Best winter accessory and u can look cute in many types. You ending affirmation reminds me of another one, I need to stop letting myself stand in my own way. Reduce the self doubt and go for it with confidence and preparation
