One thing I see lacking in this video is spreading actual legal awareness. 1. For instance, if a police officer refuses to take your complaint and register a First Information Report, you can make a written representation before the Superintendent of Police of that Police District. IF that doesn't work, visit the Jurisdictional Court and file a Complaint Petition. Police will be bound to take your complaint. 2. Some of the clients complain that DV cases take much longer to get disposed of. This is because in our country, Magistrate Courts are flooded with mostly false DV cases and if we compare the ratio of Judges to Cases, it's much less so Magistrates often give longer dates. Also, non-appearance of parties tend to stretch the dates. 3. In Maintenance Cases, i.e. cases under Section 144 of BNSS, 2023, husbands shall know that if you have enough documentary evidence that your wife is working somewhere or your wife is living in adultery, you are not bound to give maintenance. 4. Clients often hesitate while giving the fees of a counsel. Clients shall understand that representing someone before the Court of Law requires heavy determination. Now, according to the Court Craft of Learned Counsels, their fees differs. Some charges a hefty, some charges slightly less than that and some charges even less, just like doctors. Clients shall choose counsels on two grounds: a) If clients feel that their relief is necessary and b) according to their capacity. And lastly, counsels shall keep this in mind that even if you're having a single brief while you see others having racks loaded with briefs, remember while presenting your case, you're been observed by numerous people. So give your best, clients will automatically approach you.
