I know as for myself that I watch camping videos for the camping excursions rather than the new products that have emerged on to the scene. That being said I know others watch it for the new gadgets and such that have come out. I just love your camping contents that you put out and I want to thank you for that. I guess you could say I'm more interested in you and what your doing than what a bike, solar product or a very expensive generator can do. I also understand companies send you stuff to try out. And it's nice to know what works and what don't. I'm a simple kind of gal and will never change this. Love your vids.

Love these videos mate, I kind of live the life I want vicariously through videos like these. I have all the gear, all the knowledge and skills but they’re safe for a rainy day. My other half and I have 2 extremely challenging Autistic children and we both love the great outdoors but we can’t do it and I won’t go off solo leaving her behind as it isn’t fair on her and we’ve no family we can depend upon. I love watching your little trips, thanks for sharing them mate 👍🏻

I just did my first overnighter in my Amok hammock 2 days ago. I think it’s the best hammock that’s on the market very comfortable. There is quite a learning curb to using this hammock but really worth it. I have been using my German made Elom bike mid drive by Bosch and I really love this bike. It has a 14 speed Rohloff with a belt drive. It also is a fat tire bike. I have 4 sets of batteries that are 500 watt hour capacity each that I take on long trips with 2 chargers. Great watching your videos. I also just ordered that bicycle tent trailer after seeing your video. I was very inspired to buy it and thanks again for your great videos.

Looks good. Couldn't help noticing that you had the tarp pitched with the dedicated foot end at the hammocks head end. The tarp is longer at its foot end to accommodate for the hammock also being longer at the foot end... Look for the tag with a pair of feet to orientate the tarp properly. You'll get better coverage that way 🙂 Cheers

At 21:59 when you popped out of your hammock to jump straight into your boots without checking for critters, I had a memory of my father. 70 years ago one of his first camping rules for us kids was to check our shoes for unwelcome overnight visitors. Are there not shoe-invading critters in your neck of the woods? Hello from a longtime subscriber from the Sonoran Desert in Arizona. You were the first channel on youtube to which I subscribed. (You still had a long pony tail!)

Andy, a burger, hotdog, or sausage NEVER a bad thing on this type of camp. Anyone could have brought an MRI style meal and called it a night. You didn't, and I like that. Plus, I want to see what you are capable of doing with an e-bike towing the load, especially multiday camps. On a sidenote, may I ask, what was that below the burger patty, it looked like egg or potato salad but it could of been cheese or something else. One comment on the e-bike, cant stand the white, just a bad contrast in the woods I guess. I hope it preformed well though, it certainly looks like a beefy bike. Love the videos, stay safe and take care friend.

😂 what’s impressive is his camping gear, I bought a lot of that gear and hopefully get to use it one day. They’re probably more hardcore and just go in the woods and do their business but I did buy a privacy tent and a portable toilet to add on the gear. My next thing to get is that roof tent, but I need a truck for that😂

Also, just a tip that I'm sure that you are aware of but others may not be. When cycle packing, if your bike has only a prop-stand, allways put your "first need" items on the "uphill" side. You don't need your bike falling over into the mud when it is pouring down and you just need to set up your shelter.

When hammock sleeping in rain, tie some cloth/sock at the joint of line and hammock so rain running down the line won't wet the hammock. Hammocks are not designed so you sleep/lay flat. because of the belly/arch of it's shape, you have to lay across. Head slightly to the side of the hammock as well as feet to the opposite. E-Bike very silent to travel through the forrest👍

The E-bike is a handsome piece of equipment. So: how about doing a 'mostly electric' video back in a shelter by the woodstore? The idea would be to lay in some wood for the winter using an electric chainsaw. If you have a serious power bank, you might use an induction cooktop.

Always enjoy Andy's content but I'm always puzzled as to where he camps? I understand he's quite right in never revealing the various locations but can't understand how he's able to get permission from so many various land owners to cut wood, light fires and camp on their land?
@deekelley891 Жыл бұрын
He more than likely has good friends-and they may enjoy the shelter and such when he isn’t. Benefits for both!
@oriolesaltec Жыл бұрын
The UK is generous with where it allows people to walk and hike, I wonder if that extends to camping? It does seem like he camps in similar places, maybe it’s one nature area where it’s allowed. He definitely only takes fallen wood, too
@janinepyke4643 Жыл бұрын
He will definitely have permissions and I expect in return he helps manage the woodland for the landowners. He often talks about coppicing and knows what wood to take. He's incredible at what he does and has clearly got an exceptional reputation. So lucky. We're so limited in the uk for where and what we can do.
