Thank you our Lay-Z-SPA was indicating the error code E02 for a few days and we did not think that there was a problem with the pump but after changing the filter with a new one, the problem is resolved. Good initiative on your part for making this video. It will help a lot of people this summer! However, we clean our filters but apparently there must have been too much greasy material in the filters which cannot be seen with the naked eye and it is probably because of that.

Thank you for your tutorial. When I press the bubble button, the jets are not pushing out air. I noticed twice the error E02. I reset it but I comes again. Then, the air jets do not blow air. I hear the pump. But no bubble Inside the spa. Any ideas please??

@@mixlimantz How odd. Have you ever had it working? Sounds like Pipe has come loose maybe. Obviously make sure the filter is in good condition. If you live in a hard water area try the Stain And Scale controller liquid, I’ve got a video about that

@@LurgsHowToGuides yes, it was working properly. Moreover, I have sent the filter with a new one and they cleaned the water inland of the pump, but after while the pump is heating up and stops working. Then I got this error code E02. Moreover, only from the half bottom part bubbles are coming out

Mine is over 3 years old. Lots of use. No use over summer, lots of slime build up. E02 error would not stop after simple cleaning. Almost threw it away and bought a whole new one. I had to disassemble entire unit and remove the pump. Not too difficult. Required a very long and slim phillips head screw driver. Deep cleaned the pump, found nothing broken. Reassembled everything. Deep cleaned the hot tub. Brand new filter. Filled back up with fresh water. It is working fine now. Hoping it will last the entire winter here in Florida. Cannot find a replacement pump online. Cannot buy just the electrical/heat unit by itself. Fingers crossed. I think brand new clean filter and very clean water are a must.

I've started using the Bestway Scale and Stain controller liquid, it really does help keep it clean, magic stuff. Tub doesn't seem to stain either and must keep water cleaner. Ours will be on it's 4th year next year and it's still going. I change filter every week to keep unit from getting clogged up.

They recommend you remove the ChemConnect when you are in it.

Just make sure it is compatible with your Lay Z Spa model. Can get them direct from Bestway or off eBay. I bought a pack of 12 about 2 years ago and not been any since (I wash them)

Why does it take so long for it to heat up? It seems like 10 hours to get it to 100° in Florida.

It's a lot of water that's why. It takes time especially if your mains water is fairly cold. Takes about 11 hours for me in normal outside temps.

im having issues with the pump connecting properly to the tub! the bottom connect hose is leaking like crazy, im afraid im going to have to empty the whole tub and then try to resolve it

Oh that’s odd. They are only plastic threads so you can’t really overtighten them. Maybe the rubber seal didn’t sit properly. Not had even a drop out of my connections. Hopefully it could just be a bit of dirt on the seal

Mine looks exactly like this one except does not have a reset button on the pump, there is one on the electric cable, back side of 3 prongs. Unfortunately nothing has fixed mine. Filter was clean when it quit working so im guessing its the pump. Haven't even had it a year and a half yet so thats pretty lame. I guess now i need to find out if i should try replacing a part or just get a whole new pump unit...

Sorry to hear that. Do you live in a hard water area? Might be worth some descaler treatment, trouble is it will be hard for it to work if the pump is not working. I hope you can get it sorted.

@@LurgsHowToGuides thanks for the reply. We have somewhat hard water, yes. Not enough so that it has ever caused any other issues really. I took it apart and checked the magnetic sensor that other ppl seem to have get dirty and cause the issue but it was perfectly clean looking. Going to try sticking water hose in it and see if i can free something up that way. Not ready to give up just yet but from what ive seen so far im thinking maybe something broke instead of just getting clogged. If im able to get it fixed somehow i will return here to leave a comment explaining what worked for me. Thanks again for the reply and have a blessed day!

It seems that when you are experiencing error 02 problem, the basic reason is dirty filter. I tried to clean the current filter but it did not help. When I grabbed the brand new one, the issue disappeared🤗
