I just adore your flowers, as usual, you have taken them to the next level! One thing you are teaching me is to keep going when I think I am done! I think, “What would Luise do?” and then I keep going! Thank you for another inspiring video! 💕🇨🇦

What a great idea. Not having any die cuts, I cut mine out of colorful children's book pages in the same way we used to make paper snowflakes. I guess I can't add a picture here but I am quite pleased with the way it turned out.

OMGosh... these are wonderful. I love the addition of the thread and the end distressing made such a difference in the 'vintage' or as you say, grungy affect. I like the thread in different areas of the flower too... older versus newer. The white splatters are awesome. I can see on a lighter flower, maybe using a brown or black splatter... or even gold and silver. SO MANY POSSIBILITIES...LOL... Let the imagination go wild. LOL Luise, you are so creative and inspiring. Thank you so much for sharing.

What is Shou Sugi Ban? Originating in 18th century Japan, shou sugi ban is a particularly striking method of preserving wood by charring it with fire. Traditionally, this practice is used with Japanese cedar in order to weatherproof it. The wood is burned until the surface is charred, and then coated with natural oil.
@luiseheinzl Жыл бұрын
That's interesting but I don't understand the context to my video

I'm going to try this with hand cut flowers. Do you have many Bigz dies? I've only used thinlits so far but I agree they won't cut through fabric. These flowers are so adorable and whimsical. 😍
